Show Whiterocks Mrs. Katherine Belts Mr. and Mrs. Dahl Christen-sen, Christen-sen, of California, are visiting at the home of Mrs. Christen-sen's Christen-sen's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Al-bert Smith. Father Joseph Hogben, vicar of St. Elizabeth's mission, received re-ceived orders to report November Novem-ber 22 to Fort Ord, California. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Wheeler and Mrs. Cuzzie Van Arsdal spent the past week-end in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Dale Drum-Imond, Drum-Imond, the former Miss Sally Van Arsdal and her smail daughters, Christine and Nanette,, Nan-ette,, returned with them for a week's visit with her mother, Mrs. Florence Drummond, of Carson City, Nevada, who is visiting her son, Dale, and family fam-ily in Salt Lake City Mr. and Mrs. Petro Forakia haye taken their daughter, Bil-lie Bil-lie to a specialist in Salt Lake City. Bob Marlmon is spending several sev-eral days in Salt Lake City on business. Mrs. Maudie Phillips returned to her home in Salt Lake City after a week's visit with the Marlmons. The girls Friendly Society of St. Elizabeth's mission meets each Friday afternoon at 4:15 in charge of Mrs. William G Avery. A four-fold program of is enjoyed by some 20 girls. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Drury and her sons, Dick and Eddie, of Salt Lake City, will spend the week-end at the M. A. Betts home. UINTAH BOARDING SCHOOL Mrs. Ruth Quinn- Cuch is a new employee at the Uintah Boarding school. Roy Adams, principal is boasting boast-ing of killing a seven-point buck in the Green Lakes area. Jason Cuch, assistant boy's adviser, has organized a boy's basket ball team. They played their first game Friday evening with the Sage Brush team (local community boys), winning 48-44. Mr. Duly, 4th and 5th grade teacher is sponsoring a girl's Social and Cultural club, with 14 members. The first meeting Monday evening was for organizational or-ganizational purposes. Officers were elected as follows: Tillie Tayoof, president; Phillis 'Ne-phi, 'Ne-phi, vice president; Maxine Jack, secretary; Helena Corn-peach, Corn-peach, treasurer. Business matters, mat-ters, games and refreshments were enjoyed by members, day school guests and faculty. Plans were made for a Thanksgiving party. Pack 3248, Cub Scouts, held a party for their 25 members with Vernon Jack, Louis Cess-pooch, Cess-pooch, Clifford Duncan and Chico Wissup in charge. The 6th and 7th grade room teacher, Mr. J. D. Fosdick, held a Hallowe'en party in the school gym Tuesday evening from 7 'til 9. Dancing and refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed by students and guests. |
