Show Z-Z-Z-ZIPPER-UPS ARCADIA Our 4-H Club met at the home of our president, Sherrie Gilbert on May 31, 1955 at 3 o'clock. We had a business meeting then cut out our patterns and planned what we were to do the next time. Our meeting . was held June 7 at the home of Marsha Lusty. Light refreshments were served. Linda Larsen, Reporter, h-h-h-h FASHIONETTES BLUEBELL The Fashionettes met at the home of their leader, Lois Goodrich, June 1, 1955, It was the first meeting. We elected new officers. The secretary from last year, who was June Powell, took charge until new officers were elected. Carma Atwood opened the meeting meet-ing with prayer. The new officers for 1955 are: president, Carolyn Goodrich; vice-president, vice-president, Janet Seeley; secretary, Carma Atwood; song leader, Reta Powell; reporter, June Powell and activity leader, Daphine Lisonbee. The following girls from our club went to the 4-H meeting May 4th are: Reta Powell, Carolyn Goodrich, Janet Seeley and June Powell. I think we all had a wonderful won-derful time. June Powell, Reporter h-h-h-h BUSY STITCHERS ROOSEVELT The Busy Stitchers Stitch-ers 4-H Club met Monday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mary Blaine. 4-H songs were sung, led by Janice Jan-ice Burgener. The members decided de-cided what articles they wanted to make for this year. Games were played and refreshments refresh-ments were served by the hostess to the nine present, including one of the leaders, Carol Memmott. h-h-h-h BOWL LICKERS The Bowl Lickers 4-H Club held a meeting last Friday at the home of Lynne Wilkins, with Ranae Chasel, leader, conducing. Carma Gardner, last year's president, called the meeting to order, and the following new officers of-ficers were elected: president, Ear-lene Ear-lene Allred; vice-president, Lynne Wilkins; secretary, Connie Fenn; song leader, Lorraine Allred; recreation rec-reation leader, Wilda Bascom; reporter, re-porter, Carma Gardner. Soups were made and the meeting meet-ing adjourned at 4:30 p.m. Carma Gardner, Reporter h-h-h-h SUCCESS CLIMBERS ROOSEVELT Thursday, June 2, at 9:00, the Success Climbers met at the Home of Janet Liddell, The meeting was called to order by Arlene and the business was taken care of. Our leader, Mrs. Jensen, helped us get started on our projects. Light refreshments were served, after which a baseball game was played at the city party, and the meeting adjourned. Phyllis Timothy, Reporter h-h-h-h GOLDEN STITCHERS BONETA The Golden Stitchers Stitch-ers met at the home of their leader, lead-er, Mrs. Clarence Oman, June 8. This was their 5th meeting and all members were present. The third phase girls spent the time working on their dusters, while second phase girls worked on darning and laundry bags. Refreshments Re-freshments were served. The recreation leader and the group planned a swimming party for next week. Bonnie Oman, Reporter h-h-h-h QUICK STITCHING STITCHERS NEOAL The Quick Stitching Stitchers of Neola met at the home of our president, Arvella Ek-sund Ek-sund and was under the direction of our leader Naomi Gardner. Meeting was called to order by our president. Business was then discussed and songs were sung, after which refreshments were served by our hostess. The next meeting will be held at the home of Elaine Duncan, Judy Bastian, Reporter h-h-h-h HOMEMAKERS ROOSEVELT The Homemak-ers Homemak-ers of Roosevelt, held their 4-H meeting June 8th, at 9:30 at the home of Pam Harmston. The meeting was called to order by Ann Murphy, after which Pam Harmston called the roll and read the minutes. Laura Leavitt led some songs and then our leader, Nadene Ottosen showed us how to make a sewing kit. Linda Schmiett gave the health lesson and the demonstrations were given giv-en by Marilyn Winterton and Pam Harmston. Marilyn showed the girls how to make a fringed scarf and Pam showed them how to use a sewing machine. The members present were: Linda Lin-da Schmiett, Laura Leavitt, Pam Harmston, Ann Murphy, Marilyn Winterton, Nadene Ottosen and Mrs. Winterton. Linda Schmiett, Reporter h-h-h-h LUCKY CLOVER CLUB BRIDGELAND We held our meeting at the home of our assistant as-sistant leader, Joan Shepard on Monday, June 13. President Betty Fitzgerald conducted the meeting. We took up cooking for our project this year. We made cherry muffins and this was our refreshments. refresh-ments. h-h-h-h MERRY MISSES ROOSEVELT The Merry Misses Miss-es 4-H Club held their fourth meeting at the home of Karen Allred on June 8. There we made quick breads. All members were present. We played games and then refreshments re-freshments were served. The meeting meet-ing was adjourned. Margaret Hacking, Reporter Z-Z-Z-ZIPPER-UPS ARCADIA The third meeting of the Arcadia Z-Z-Z-Zipper-Ups was held June 7, at 3:00 p.m. at the home of Marsha Lusty. The meeting began with the 4-H pledge led by Eleanor Capson. Marsha Lusty led us in two songs, "I'm on the Upward Trail," page 8 and "Club Work Everywhere," on page 9. We discussed new and old business bus-iness and then we worked on our projects. Meeting adjourned at 5:30 with light refreshments. Eleanor Capson, Reporter h-h-h-h THE HAPPY HOME MAKERS ROOSEVELT We held our meeting June 6th at the home of our leader, Mrs. Ervil Asay. The meeting was called to order by Sandra Asay. We worked on our aprons. We have a new member in our club, Linda Rosecrans. We will all enjoy having her. Refreshments were served and meeting was adjourned at 3:30 p.m. Joyce Young, Reporter h-h-h-h SUCCESS CLIMBERS ROOSEVELT Thursday, June 9, the Success Climbers met at the home of Marilyn Winterton to hold our 4-H meeting. Karen Jensen and Ellen Anderton led us in some songs, after which Mrs. Jensen gave us some instructions instruc-tions and some of us started to sew. Those present were Karen Jensen, Jen-sen, Ellen Anderton, Elenor Johnson, John-son, Arlene Rockwood, Janine Bircher, Mary Ann Collotzi, Janet Liddell, Phyllis Timothy, Barbara Ann White, Maria Whitehead and Mrs. Jensen.
