Show Lions Select lew President At Atlantic City Harold P. Nutter, Camden, New Jersey, is the new president presi-dent of The International Association As-sociation of Lions Clubs (Lions International). He was elected by unanimous vote at the 34th annual convention of the Association As-sociation which closed at the Convention Hall in Atlantic City,, N. J. Nutter succeeds II. C. Petry, Jr., Carrizo Springs, I Texas. The convention concluded a , year of unprecedented progress ! for Lions International, according accord-ing to the report made by R. Roy Keaton, Chicago, 111., di-; di-; rector-general of the Associa-j Associa-j tion. He reported the addition of 837 new Lions clubs and 1 14,756 men to the roster of the Association during the eleven-month eleven-month period ended May 31, 1951, for a total of 8,757 clubs and 417,897 members. He stated also that during the fiscal year. Lions clubs were established in three additional ad-ditional countries: Finland, It-i It-i aly and Uruguay. Lions Interna-; Interna-; tional, he added, is the largest, , strongest and most active service club organization in the world, I with Lions clubs in 31 countries I on five continents. |
