Show Mrs. Garda Seeley Home Ceremony Unites Couple Mr. Melvin Bird and Miss Ola Maxfield were recently united in marriage in a "quite home ceremony at the home of Ola's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lin-ford Lin-ford Maxfield in Altonah. Bishop Bish-op James Bird officiating. The late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bird are the parents of Melvin. The young couple are making their home in Salt Lake City where they both have employment. Dick Harwood of Ogden came after his wife and baby son who have spent the past three weeks here visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Mathews. Mrsv Leonard Goodrich, Mrs. John Goodrich and Mrs. Fred Goodrich went to Price on Saturday Sat-urday to get Miss Nellie Stev-ensen Stev-ensen and bring to Bluebell for a visit. While there they visited in Helper with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Goodrich. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Goodrich and Miss Nellie Stevenson and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Goodrich and their families enjoyed an outing at Moon Lake. The water situation is very serious. The water is gone for the farmers, leaving only a small stream for gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Vose Mower of Salt Lake City visited here with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray. Mrs. Mower and Mrs. Murray are sisters. The Mowers were here to attend the funeral services for Mrs. Emma Mower, mother of Vose. Mrs. Emma Mower, wife of the late William Mower, died in Craig, Colorado, following follow-ing a serious illness. Funeral services were conducted in Mt. Emmons on Monday. Burial was in the Bluebell cemetery. Leslie Les-lie G. Goodrich was one of the speakers, Earl Murray offered the benediction to the services. Mrs. Mower made her home in Bluebell for several years. Among those from Bluebell attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Atwood, Gardner Gard-ner Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Lisonbee, Leslie B. Goodrich Good-rich and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Murray. Mr. and Mrs. Aullen Larsen, of Price, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. O. Larsen. Lar-sen. Three babies were blessed and given names in Sacrament meeting on Sunday. They were as follows: the infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bird was given the name of Geniel; the infant daugfhter of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Jackson was given the name of Patsy Jean, and the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Bird was given the name of Ronald Leo. Also the following follow-ing were baptized during the week and confirmed ,in Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting: Sharon Ann Barrett, Bar-rett, Gloria Atwood, Eldon Mon-sen, Mon-sen, Emma Lou Bird and Nolan Larsen. |
