Other visitors vis-itors at the meeting! were Mrs. Gardner, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Eksund, Grace Dye and Jennie Woodward. Lowel Brown, of Monroe, is visiting at the home of his uncle un-cle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Milo Campbell, for two weeks. Mrs. Ethelyn Russell and daughter, JoAnne, of Kuna, Ida., are visiting for the summer at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Russell. Jerry and Sharon Odekirk and friend. Arlene Bird, all of Salt Lake City, are visiting Mr. Lawrence Odekirk over the week. Bruce Calder and daughter, Fontella, from Salt Lake City, are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Garret Stone. Mr. Calder is Mrs. Stone's father. Mrs. Edna Hartman took her mother, Mrs. James B. Lemon to Salt Lake, where they are visiting another daughter, Mrs. Floral Davis. Mr. and Mrs. Theron Benson, from Alta Dena, Calif., are visiting vis-iting Theron's mother, Mrs. Marie Benson. John Jacobs, Larry Marsh and Duane Marsh, former residents resi-dents of Ioka. visited Sunday School and were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Drollinger. The Ioka MIA officers spon soTed a swimming party for all MIA members, Tuesday night. Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Perci-val Perci-val received word that their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth D. Wright, are the proud parents of a baby boy.. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Remund called to see their mother, Mrs. Bertha Angus, who has been seriously ill. Mrs. Angus is stay-' stay-' ing at the home of her daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Orie Cook at Bluebell. We all wish Mrs. Angus a speedy recovery. re-covery. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Johnson, of Salt Lake City, visited Mrs. Bertha Angus last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Percival, of Provo, spent Tuesday visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Percival. Duane Richens went to Provo" Pro-vo" to sign up at the B.Y.U. Mrs. Lyle Robinson received a telegram from her husband for her to meet him in Salt Lake. He just got released from 6 weeks R.O.T.C. service. Marilyn and Jim Drollinger are spending a few weeks in Salt Lake with their grandmother,' grandmoth-er,' Mrs. Nancy Drollinger. Mrs. Zelma Lloyd went to Duchesne to a Fair Board planning plan-ning meeting Saturday. She has been asked to be fair chairman of the Ioka ward. Mrs. Delsa Michie, of Hanna, called at the homes of her sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Ariel Michie and Mrs. Bill Fausett last week. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fausett, Jr. are spending a short vacation in Lsa Vegas, Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart and grandchildren, G 1 e n n a and Ralph Dart, visited Mrs. Willis Dart, of Duchesne, Sunday. Mrs. Paul Foote entertained at a quilting party at her home Thursday with the following ladies enjoying the afternoon: Mrs. Howard Jones, Mrs. Tom Gentry, Mrs. Ray Jones, all oil Ioka, and Mrs. Sherwood, of Levan. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lemon and children were visiting at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Lloyd and Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Lemon. Sunday. They were enroute to Salt Lake City for a week's stay. Mr. and Mrs. Senor Morten-sen Morten-sen and Mrs. Shirley Morten-sen Morten-sen visited Mr." and Mrs. Meyer at Bridgeland, July 4th. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jensen were Salt Lake and Provo visitors, vis-itors, Wednesday. Recent visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Spencer were, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jo-hanson, Jo-hanson, of Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lundford and little daughter, Judy, of Provo; Kirk Good and daughters, of Salina, and Bud Nunley, of Salt Lake. Mrs. James B. Lemon accompanied accom-panied Mr. and Mrs. Max Hart-man, Hart-man, of Mt. Emmons, to Salt Lake, Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Timothy and children, of Orem, spent the 4th of July holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lemon and Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Timothy. HUSBAND'S BIRTHDAY Mrs. Ray Jones entertained a few friends at her home . on Thursday evening to help celebrate cele-brate her husband's birthday anniversary. Enjoying the Occasion Occa-sion were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Washburn, Wash-burn, Mr. and Mrs. Tuff Reay, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Gentry, Mr. arid Mrs. Clarence Jones and the honored guest. . Marcia Lemon and John Percival Per-cival attended 4-H Leadership week at Logan. Spending the 4th of July holidays hol-idays in Ioka were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Axtell and daughter, daugh-ter, of Salt Lake, and Mrs. Winnie Win-nie Casper, also of Salt Lake. They were guests of Mr. and Tom Milburn. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Foote and children, Mrs. Ralph Dart and daughter, Beth, Mrs. Howard Jones and daughter, Edna, and Mrs. Sherwood enjoyed a trip to Salt Lake and Phovo over the weekend. Mrs. Bertha Angus, who has been ill for the past three weeks is reported much improved at the home of her daughters, Mrs. Orie Cook, of Bluebell. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Johnson, of Provo, were luncheon guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Gentry. Friday. Reed Lemon was pleasantly surprised Monday by a visit from Mr. and Mrs. James Martinson, Mart-inson, of Alamoso, Colo. Reed and Mr. Martinson served on a mission together in the Eastern States in 1926. |
