Show LuDeen Anderson Recites Vows In Manti Temple Mrs. Holt Wardle and Miss Beverly Anderson were hostesses hostess-es Monday afternoon at the Wardle home when they entertained enter-tained at a bridal shower complimentary com-plimentary to Miss LuDeen Anderson, An-derson, who recited her marriage mar-riage vows with Ray L. Alvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Alvey, of Escalante, in the Manti Temple Tem-ple July 14th. Games and refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed by Mrs. Gareth Anderson, Geral-dine Geral-dine Richardson, LaRee Bywat-er, Bywat-er, LaRae Woodard, Loretta Peatross, Elaine Chandler, Betty Lee Woodard, Rolene Duke, Lorraine Mecham, Arva Tanner, Sally Burgess, Mrs. Lester Holt, Mrs. Loren Ross, Mrs. Clark Roberts, Mrs. Lowell Roberts, Mrs. Dean Roberts and the honor hon-or guest. A lovely friendship tablecloth' was signed by each guest, together with a nice sentiment. sen-timent. The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gareth Andersen, was the recipient of many lovely love-ly gifts. . LuDeen, who has been visiting visit-ing at the home of her fiance's parents in Escalante during the past month, returned home Saturday, Sat-urday, accompanied by her fiance, fi-ance, Ray L. Alvey. Mr. and Mrs. Gareth Anderson, Ander-son, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Murray Mur-ray and Mr. and Mrs. Aften Richens accompanied the bridal party to Manti to be present at the wedding. Mr and Mrs. Raymond McCoy, Mc-Coy, of Salt Lake City, were visitors Friday at the home of Mrs. Lydia Nielson, as they returned re-turned home from a fishing trip at Moon Lake. Mrs. Lydia Nielson enjoyed a short visit from her aunt, Mrs. Myron Roberts, and her uncle, Robert McCurdy, of Salt Lake City, who stopped in My-ton My-ton Sunday, when enroute to Vernal to attend the funeral of their brother, George McCurdy. Mr. and Mrs. Gareth Anderson Ander-son and family returned last week from a short visit with relatives at Kingston, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. James Dalglejsh were visitors at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Del Combs, near Talmage, Sunday. The final touches to the pavement pave-ment of the Main Street in My-ton My-ton is in prograss and will probably prob-ably be completed this week. This will make a nice improve ment and certainly will be appreciated ap-preciated by the townspeople as well as the visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Rollen Duke enjoyed en-joyed a visit from Mrs. Duke's mother, Mrs. Kate Cowley, of Vernal, last weekend. Homer Haynes, of Vernal was also a weekend guest. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Harris and two children, of Salt Lake, were recent visitors in Myton to spend a few days with their parents, Mrs. Leonard Harris and Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Crapo. Mr. and Mrs. Max Peatross, of Salt Lake City, visited their mothers, Mrs. Lydia Peatross and Mrs. Leonard Harris, last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson enjoyed a visit last week from Mrs. Robinson's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Wall of Jamestown, Kansas. Mr. and Mrs. Wall left Sunday, accompanied by Mr. Robinson, for Layton, where they will visit vis-it Mr. and Mrs. Wendall Workman, Work-man, Mr. Robinson's daughter and son-in-law. ' ' |
