Show Raedlett By Mrs. Viola Jensen Church Visitors High Councilman Alva Snow, of Roosevelt, was a visitor at all Sunday meetings. Mr. and Mrs. Austin Wardle and daughter, daugh-ter, Peggy, of Leota, were visitors vis-itors at Sunday School. Speakers at Sacrament meeting, meet-ing, Sunday were: Mr. and Mrs. Theron Leavitt and Mr. Snow of Roosevelt. Reah Pickup played play-ed a piano' solo. Mrs. Carol Lewis Lew-is was released as a Primary teacher. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Chandler Chand-ler and family, of Price, spent the weekend visiting relatives here. Those attending the Sunday School convention in Vernal, Sunday were: Bishop Franklin Jarman, Supt. Henry Wall, and Mrs. Hannah Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Young are the proud parents of a baby boy, born last Sunday morning at the Roosevelt Hospital Mrs. Young and new baby left the hospital Friday, and went to Lapoint to' stay at the home of Mrs. Young's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rulen Rasmussen. Visitors at the John Young' home, Sunday, were: Mr. and Mrs. William Mann, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Young and family, of Vernal, and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Daniels and family, of Fort Duchesne. Du-chesne. Myron Brough spent four days in Denver, Colo., attending a R.E.A. convention. Mrs. Wayne Pickup took the Boy Scout troop to Farm Creek Mountain to get Christmas trees for the people in the community. commun-ity. The Relief Society held their regular work meeting Tuesday. Christmas gift suggestions were exchanged. Christmas corsages were made by the ladies, with Mrs. Nellie Harris giving many gift suggestions. Visitors at the Avalon school during the week were: President Hollis G. Hullinger, of Roosevelt; Roose-velt; Miss Beatrice Stringham, of Vernal, who showed films to the students about her trip to Asia; Miss Helen Stevens, of Vernal, who gave diptheria shots Friday; and Roy Adams, of Ft. Duchesne, was a visitor Friday. Sheldon J. Lewis came home Friday from Ogden, where he spent the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Wall and daughter, Loni Rae, and Mr. and Mrs. Van Jensen and daughter, Lydia, of Salt Lake City, spent the weekend here. Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Wall spent Saturday" visiting relatives in Dry Fork, and Sunday at Bonanza. Mr. and Mrs. Van Jensen and i daughter, Lydia, spent Sunday visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Jensen and family, of Bonanza. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Lewis and family spent Saturday visiting in Vernal at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Price. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jensen and daughters, Irene and Joyce, spent Saturday visiting in Roosevelt Roos-evelt at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Marian Shelton. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Brough and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Brough and family visited visit-ed Satuday in Roosevelt at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Brough. J. P. Stevens, of Salt Lake City, was a Sunday visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Jensen. |
