Show Craftsmen Invited To Enter Mormon Village Exhibits Utah craftsmen, who produce ornamental or useful articles in leather, art metal, jewelry, plastics, plas-tics, ceramics, wood carving, weaving, textiles or hook rugs, are invited by Utah painters to send three specimens of their craftsmanship to be exhibited at the opening of the Mormon Craft Village, Springdale, Zion's Canyon, June 23-25. This invitation was issued today to-day by Floyd V. Cornaby, president pres-ident of the Federated Artists of Utah, and head of the art department, Utah State Agricultural Agri-cultural college, Logan. No entry en-try fee will be charged for entries en-tries of art or craftswork in the Springdale show by members of the organization. Non-members will be charged a $1 entry fee for paintings, and craftsmen 50c. Date of the official Mormon Craft Village opening and Springdale homecoming has been postponed one week, Mr. Cornaby said, in order to avoid a conflict with the L.D.S. June conference. Entries should be sent to Julius V. Madsen, Mormon Mor-mon Craft Village, Springdale, before June 15. Applicants for membership in ' the Federated Artists may be mailed to Helen Mills, secretary, 2613 Madison Avenue, Ogden. Federated Artists Ar-tists of Utah, Mr. Cornaby said, is particularly desirous of augmenting aug-menting its mailing list of artists ar-tists and craftsmen. |
