Show IVflyton Observes Memorial Day Memorial services under the direction of the American Legion Le-gion were held Tuesday at the Myton Presbyterian church, with Blaine Brokaw, vice-commander, in charge. The Rev. Charles Ray, of the Roosevelt Baptist church, was the speaker. The invocation was offered by Leonard Harris. Musical Mu-sical selections included piano solos by Ronald Zirker and Helene Hemphill, and a vocal solo by LaRee Bywater. Margo Linck gave a reading. The benediction bene-diction was pronounced by Wil-mer Wil-mer Murray. The program closed with 30 seconds of silent tribute followed fol-lowed by retirement of colors. Legion members, assisted by the Legion Auxiliary, placed poppy wreathes and flags on the graves of Veterans in the Myton, My-ton, Ioka, and Upalco cemeteries. |
