Show Ute Tribal No. 2 Crew Nsars 7,000 Ft. Mark The drilling crew at Carter Oil's Ute Tribal No. 2, located in the NW SE of Sec 21-1S-1E, as of May 29, was down to a total depth of 6,682 feet, having cored at 6,600-49 feet, receivng six inches of dark grey to dark brown very dolomitic oil shale. A drill stem test, set at 6,590-6,649 6,590-6,649 feet for 3 hours 9 minutes on a Vz inch bottom hole choke, produced a weak blow for Wz hours. Coring at 6,649-82 feet, the crew received 32 feet of dark grey dolomite, laminated. Total depth reached at Bluebell, Blue-bell, located in SW NE, Sec. 6-1S-2W, was 6,995 feet in variegated varie-gated shale. Testing is continuing at the California Company's Gusher well, with production now said to be considerably lower than the 20 barrels per hour at first reported. |
