Show Ballard Ellen Bracken The infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Win. Jenkins was under treatment treat-ment for asthma at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt hospital three days last week. Mrs. Xavier Bellon has been spending most of her time in Neola to help care for her aged mother, Mrs. Emma Wimmer. Earl Winn spent the weekend with his family. He is presently employed in Huntington. Gerhard Stolla and Wayne Haslam, of Bennett, made a trip to Denver last week. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Snyder and sons, of Altonah, spent Friday Fri-day afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bingham. Mrs. Dee Allred and children, of Roosevelt, attended Sunday School at Ballard this week, as guests of Mrs. Jack Allred. Mrs. Ferral Mohlman and little lit-tle daughter visited Friday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rus-sel Rus-sel Todd. Mr. Mohlman joined her that evening at the Alterra basketball game. The M.I.A Gold and Green ball will be held Monday evening, eve-ning, Jan. 30. Glen Eldredge, a student at B.Y.U., spent the weekend at home. Mrs. Osa H u 1 1 1 n g e r is m charge of the March of Dimes drive in Ballard; Mrs. Erna Stolla, Stol-la, at Alterra. The Relief Society had charge of the program at Sacrament meeting this week, with Mrs. Pearl Jenkins directing. Talks were given by Mrs. Julia Kettle. Mrs. Telintha Rasmussen and Mrs. Fannie Todd. Barbara Hul-linger Hul-linger gave a 'piano solo. Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Winn and children called Sunday at the Angus Anderson home. Carol Bellon has returned from Logan and is again working work-ing in Roosevelt. Mark Cook, of Vernal, spent Sunday as a guest of his brother, broth-er, John. Jay Pond, RHS music instructor, in-structor, conducted singing practice for the men and boys, Sunday. Bishop Collins announced Sunday that the hay put up as part of the summer welfare program, will now be disposed of. Mrs. Cloyd Seeley and girls, of Whiterocks, visited Saturday with Mrs. A. W. Seeley. Relief Society was held Jan. 17 for the first time in more than two weeks. Meetings were discontinued because of the extreme ex-treme cold. Bernard Larsen, who hopes to form an orchestra to furnish music for ward activities, is holding two practices a week -for some of his music students. Fast Day exercises will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, as Stake Conference will be held the following fol-lowing Sunday. |
