Show Relief Society Has Dinner Party For Husbands The Relief Society gave a Smorgasborg supper for their husbands Friday evening. The occasion mailed the beginning of the current season of Relief Society work. Long tables were decorated with fall flowers. P. E. Russon acted as master of ceremonies and a program and games were features of the ' evening. Douglas Phillips has registered register-ed at University of Utah and is living at the home of Asel See-ley, See-ley, formerly of Ballard. Douglas Doug-las received a scholarship while attending Alterra last year. Mrs. Clair Haslem and Mrs. Delbert Horrocks attended a Parent-Teachers meeting at the new Union high school Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Rob-. bins, of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Scholes visited Saturday Satur-day night with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmston. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Coltharp and Lawrence Pack have gone to Fort Worth, Texas, on a com-i bined business and pleasure trip. They expect to be gone about j 10 days. Ersel Allred, who has been attending at-tending summer school and is now at the University of Utah working on his Master's Degree, which he will receive in June, visited over the week end at the home of Mrs. Nellie Whit-lock Whit-lock and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Taylor. His father, Heber Ali-red Ali-red came out with him and will visit In Roosevelt at the home of his son, Clarence Allred. I Paul Brigman, of St. Petersburg, Peters-burg, Florida, called on J. A. Houston last week to renew an old acquaintance. He informs us that Albert H. Kneal, a former Indian Agent, has written a book called, "The Indian Agent." Mr. Kneale also lives in St. Petersburg. Peters-burg. Mr. Brigman will raise alfalfa seed next year on his farm at Myton. Mrs. Delbert Horrocks attended attend-ed a regional Parent-Teachers meeting in Vernal Friday evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Lorraine Bolton, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Horrocks attended the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Don Horrocks, at Neola Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Harmston, accompanied the Eugene Harmston Harm-ston family to Salt Lake City Sunday to attend the Ice Follies. Fol-lies. Mr. and Mrs. Clair Haslem and Mr. and Mrs. John Haslem went to' Vernal to visit their mother, Mrs. Alice Haslem. who has been ill. They found her much improved. |
