Show RELIEF SOCIETY, ROOSEVELT WARD The opening social of the Relief Re-lief Society of the Roosevelt ward will be held next Tuesday at 2 p. m. in the stake house, and will especially honor Mildred Mil-dred Smith, former president, who has moved to Duchesne. A one-act play with three scenes, entitled "Mildred Smith Pursues the Town,' will be pretended pre-tended by the following cast: Irene, Elaine Hullinger; Mary, Noreen Roberts; Kate, Erma An-derton; An-derton; Mildred Smith, LaRene Blaine; St. Peter, Dr. Vere Johnson; John-son; an angl, Donna Swain. I Mattie Edwards will tell a story and two, songs will be sung, by Mrs. Garth Tietjen's 4th grade, with other musical numbers num-bers arranged. An officers' meeting was held Monday night, when Ruth Jensen, Jen-sen, of Neola, stake social science sci-ence instructor, was the guest speaker. According to Carma Winter-ton, Winter-ton, president of the Roosevelt ward organization, the aim in Relief Society this year is to make it more interesting, so more members will attend, especially es-pecially the young mothers. Members, and ladies interested in joining the Relief Society are cordially invited to attend the opening social. |
