Show State Officers Speak At B.P.W. Convention The Roosevelt Business and Professional Women's club hosted host-ed district B.P.W. clubs at the annual district convention last Sunday at the Frontier Grill, when several state officers attended. at-tended. The thirty members and guests from the Vernal and Roosevelt clubs were seated at an L-shaped table decorated with asters in shades of pink, and ! pink tapers. Miss Winona Massey, Vernal, district chairman, presided at the meeting, introducing the members and guests. The group was welcomed by Mrs. Adelyn Logan, president of the Roosevelt club, followed by singing, led by Vola Hancock. Main speaker for the occasion was Mrs. S. M. Grua, of Salt Lake City, state B.P.W. president, presi-dent, who delivered an inspiring address on "Beating Drums." A flannel-board discussion on what new members should know was very capably presented by Miss Pauline Fuller, from the U.S.A.C., state vice-president. A panel discussion on committee com-mittee coordination was given by a group of B P.W. members from Vernal. Those attending felt that the convention was most inspiring and informative. |
