Show THE DOUBLE BOILER BUBBLES ARCADIA Our 4-H meeting was held at the home of our teacher Cleo Holgate on July 22 at 2:30 p.m. We made Root Beer for our 4-H trip. Linda Larsen, Reporter H-H-H-H THE FANCY FIXERS IOKA The Fancy Fixers met at the home of Edith Gentry Gen-try July 22. The meeting was called to order by the president. Ila Vaye Lemon. The minutes and roll were read by secretary, secre-tary, Marcia Lemon. We discussed discuss-ed carrots and spinach. Marcia gave a talk on carrots and Ra-- Ra-- vona Campbell gave a talk on spinach. Ila Vaye gave us a demonstration on spinach and other leafy green vegetables, she was also elected to bake the white bread to be taken to Salt Lake City by Miss Reichert on Monday. Plans were made for the 4-H camping trip, which will be held July 29, 30 and 31. Refreshments were served and meeting was adjourned by the president. Regina Reay, Reporter H-H-H-H BUSY BEES NEOLA The Busy Bees 4-H Club of Neola held their 4-H meeting at the home of Pauline Anderton, Wednesday, 15, at 2:00 p.m. The meeting was conducted con-ducted by Melba Eksund, assistant assis-tant leader, because Barbara Jensen, leader, was unable to be there. Meeting was opened by saying the Pledge to the Flag. Songs were sung. The club worked on their sewing. Ice cream, cake and punch were served as refreshments by Mrs. Mildred M. Anderton and daughter, Pauline. It was decided that 4-H Club should be held at Judy Bastian's next Wednesday Meeting was closed with the 4-H Pledge. Pauline Anderton, Reporter H-H-H-H BRIDGELAND HOMEMAKERS BRIDGELAND We met at the home of our leader, Monday. Mon-day. We had two of our mothers as visitors Mrs. Lamb and Mrs. Standfield. We also had two girls visiting us. We planned our 4-H camping trip to Yellowstone Yel-lowstone Rim. We all have our record books up to date and all started on our second project. Joyce Beal, Reporter H-H-H-H ROOSEVELT HOMEMAKERS ROOSEVELT Tuesday. July 28, our 4-H meeting was held at the home of Pam Harmston. Linda Schmiett led us in the Pledge. Mrs. C. L. Ashton gave a demonstration on arranging flowers. Plans were made for our 4-H outing. Refreshments were served. Joan Zimmerman, Reporter (Crowded Out Last Week) BRIDGELAND HOMEMAKERS BRIDGELAND We had our meeting at the home of our assistant as-sistant leader, Nelda Murphy. We had a health demonstration and also worked on our luncheon lunch-eon cloths. Karen Lamb is on her vacation, so was not present. We had cream puffs and punch for refreshments. After their regular business meeting the group cooked and served a full-course dinner to their mothers. moth-ers. Correct table setting and etiquette was observed. The meeting was then adjourned. Regina Reay, Reporter SUCCESS CLIMBERS ROOSEVELT Monday, July 20th we held our 4-H Club meeting at the home of Renae Eldredge. The meeting was called call-ed to order by Janene and Karen Kar-en read the minutes, Lorraine lead us in the pledge, after which we made plans to go on our Encampment, which mil be held at Yellowstone. Our next meeting will be held at Renae's Wednesday, July 22nd. The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m. Phyllis Timothy, Reporter THE BOBBIN WINDERS ROOSEVELT The Bobbin Winders, Advanced Clothing, spent July 9th to 11th in working work-ing on their club service project. pro-ject. They pounded the Roosevelt Roose-velt pavements soliciting for the Duchesne County Fair. The merchants mer-chants were generous and cooperative co-operative and the girls collected collect-ed a total of nearly $200.00. On Thursday, July 16 they held their regular meeting at the home of Carol Todd. After singing "Dreaming," national 4-H song, the members reported on the progress made on their clothing and home improvemelt projects. Problems were discussed dis-cussed and suggestions given by Mrs. Ottosen and the other members. Plans are being made tow?J:d entering a float in the annual U.B.I.C. parade. Each member is to submit a drawing at the next meeting. Carol Todd and Renae Eldredge El-dredge reported on ,their trio to the Older 4-H Club Camp at Logan. Arrangements were made for attending the County Club Camp at Yellowstone on July 27-31. Each member is to chaperone a younger club. Members Mem-bers are planning to present a number at the campfire program. pro-gram. Mrs. Ottosen presented a plan for touring some of the beautiful beau-tiful modern homes in Roosevelt Roose-velt to study decorating techniques. tech-niques. The tour will take place sometime in early August. Aug-ust. Delicious ice cream sundaes were served to the five present by the hostess, Carol Todd, and meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. after an hour of lively planning and discussing. Renae Eldredge. Reporter HAPPY HOME BUILDERS ROOSEVELT Thursday at 2:00 p.m. the Happy Home Builders held a 4-H meeting at the home of Dora Campbell. The meeting was called to order by President Fern Young. We talked about the things we would do' and take to the 4-H encampment. We judged dish towels and Darlene Huxford judged our Record Books. The meeting was adjourned at 4:00 p.m. Refreshments were served by the hostess, Dora Campbell. Elynn Schaefermeyer, Reporter BUSY BEES NEOLA The Busy Bees held their club at Mrs. Barbara Jensen's Jen-sen's home, Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. We opened with The American Pledge to the Flag. Mrs. Melba Eksund showed us a hair demonstration. The members mem-bers present were: Faith Dye, Arlene Bursori, Elaine Duncan, Joyce Gailey, Pauline Anderton. Elaine Smithson, Kay Bastian. ArVela Eksund and Judy Bastian. Bas-tian. There was also one visitor present. Watermelon was served by Faith Dye. The meeting was closed with the 4-H pledge. Pauline Anderton, Reporter SIX HAPPY SNIPPERS NEOLA On July 8th, the Six Happy Snippers Club was held at Rosanne Olsen's home. Meeting was called to order' by Wilma Kay Dye. We said the 4-H Pledge, sang songs: The Crocodile, Six Little Ducks, Club Work Everywhere, and Symphony. We then worked on aprons. Refreshments were served ser-ved at the close of the meeting.
