Show Pf.lA Elections For County Arc Set Nov. 26 & 27 The three designated agricultural agricul-tural communities in Duchesne county will hold annual elections for committeemen of the Community Com-munity Production and Marketing Market-ing Administration on Monday and Tuesday. Nov. 26 and 27, is an announcement made by Reed Lyons, PMA chairman. Each farmer owner, operator, oper-ator, tenant or sharecropper who is participating in any program pro-gram administered by the County Coun-ty PMA Committee is eligible to vote in his respective community com-munity election. Voting this year will be by secret ballot at election meetings. meet-ings. In each community farmers farm-ers will vote for three regular committeemen and two alternates alter-nates and a delegate to the coun-ty coun-ty convention, where a County PMA Committee will be elected. The committeemen elected in both the community and county elections will take office January Jan-uary 1, 1952. They will be responsible re-sponsible for the administration of the agricultural conservation program, price support operations, opera-tions, the sugar program, and, in cooperation with the Federal Crop Insurance Corporation, the iwritins of all-risk crop insur ance. Chairman Lyons points out that this year, when these programs pro-grams are geared to defense production pro-duction and farmers are being called on to help meet the Nation's Na-tion's defense requirements, the committee elections take on added add-ed significance. Those elected should be farmers the majority of the farmers in each community commun-ity want. The programs they administer ad-minister and the assignments they carry out will affect the production and marketing of the products of every farm in the community.
