Candidates for the new ticket were nominated by petition. The Citizens also nominated Theron Leavitt, Republican local lo-cal precinct chairman, and Paul Wilkins, former mayor and city councilman, for two-year coun-cilmen. coun-cilmen. They endorsed Paul Murphy and Bennie Schmiett, for 4-year councilmen; George Hacking for recorder; and De-Voe De-Voe Lambert for treasurer, all of whom have been nominated by the Progressive party. The Citizens platform, according accord-ing to Harmston, will consist of two planks: (1) An adequate wa-ter wa-ter system, and (2) improve- REGISTRATION City Recorder George Hacking reminds voters that Nov. 1 is the last day to register before the Nov. 8 election.
