Show Mrs. Ethel Beebe Legion Groups Hold Meetings The American Legion and Auxiliary held their regular meetings Saturday night in the Legion hall. Department Commander Com-mander Bill Sutteer, of Roosevelt, Roose-velt, was their distinguished guest. After separate business meetings, Mrs. Clarence Jones and Mrs. Earl Dunsmore were hostesses to refreshments. Members Mem-bers present were, Mr. and Mrs. Max Allred, Mr. and Mrs. Harris Har-ris Fioloo and Tom. Allred. of Boneta; Harold Birch, Mt. Home; and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Clar-ence Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dunsmore, Mrs. Mary Carrol and Clyde Lambert. 121h BIRTHDAY Marilyn Young gave a party Sunday afternoon, Feb. 7th at her home in honor of her 12th birthday. Many games and refreshments re-freshments were enjoyed by Peggy Ralphs, Norita Bowden, Joyce Reay and the following girls from Mt. Emmons: Glenna Iorg, Arsenth Snow, Karon Hansen, Katherine Hartman, Shirley Ann McConkie and Car-ma Car-ma Atwood. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Weeks visited in Garfield the first of last week with their son, James, ' and family. Their small gTandson was very ill with the measles and pneumonia, pneumon-ia, but was better when they returned home. Delos Bird came in from Salt Lake City, Friday, and took his wife and son back with him, Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Potts and daughters, of Duchesne, spent the weekend with Mrs. Potts' mother, Mrs. Elva Snyder. Sny-der. Mrs. Lester Maxfield and son, Perry, made a trip to Salt Lake City. Mr. Maxfield went out af ter them Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Glade Timothy are the proud parents of a new 7V2 lb. baby boy, born Feb. 9 in the Roosevelt Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Fowler and family returned home, Monday Mon-day from a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Maxwell and family in Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. Randall Wardle and family in Tooele. A large crowd from Altonah attended the basketball game in Tabiona, between Tabiona and Altamont. Tabiona's 1st team won and Altamont's B team was the winner. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Clark, of Meeker, Colo., were weekend visitors in Altonah. Mr. and Mrs. James Clark, of Vernal, came over Friday to get Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Clark, to take them to Vernal for the funeral fu-neral of Charley Rich, Saturday. Satur-day. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson, Ander-son, of Lapoint, Miss Lela Miller, Mil-ler, of Vernal, and Virgil Miller, of the U. S. Navy, were Saturday Satur-day night visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dunsmore attended an American Legion and Auxiliary meeting in Roosevelt Roose-velt Tuesday night. Mrs. Dunsmore Duns-more is the president of the Auxiliary. Freda Bowden, of Independence Indepen-dence spent a few days with her grandmother, Mrs. Mary Bowden. |
