Show Tort Ouchssne Legion Plans Rites To Honor Korean Ms Uintah and Ouray Post No. 126, of the American Legion, located at Fort Duchesne, Utah, will present a program Monday, Feb. 22, 1954, to honor returned veterans, living in Ouray, Randlett, Rand-lett, Fort Duchesne, Lapoint, Tridell and Whiterocks, who served in the armed forces of this country during the period of the Korean conflict. The program pro-gram will be presented in the Ute Tribal Recreation Hall, located lo-cated at Fort Duchesne, and will begin at 2:00 p.m. Speakers on the program will consist of Mrs. Eva Ashton, Past National Auxiliary president; presi-dent; a representative from Gov. Lee's office; William Sutteer, Utah Department Commander of the American Legion; Lloyd Wignell, Department Adjutant, of the American Legion of Utah and Parley E. Jensen, Grand Chef of the 40 and 8 organization.. organiza-tion.. Musical numbers will be presented pre-sented by the Union High School A Cappella Choir and the Uintah High School chorus. The dance class from Union High School will present a series ser-ies of dances and Mrs. Eldon Gardner's Dance School students stu-dents will present dance numbers. num-bers. Awards will be presented to approximately 50 returned veterans. The public is cordially invited invit-ed to attend the program to honor these veterans. |
