Show Epidemic Of Weddings Breaks Out As Cupid Attempts To Get In A Few More Arrows Before Fall's Arrival LAMBERT - HIGGINS Impressive in its simplicity was the wedding ceremony performed per-formed August 10 in Evanston, Wyoming, at which Miss Marilyn Mar-ilyn Lambert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Lambert, of Roosevelt, became the bride of Leonard B. Higgins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard A. Higgins, of Salt Lake City. William Harris, LDS bishop, officiated at the rites. For her wedding the bride chose an afternoon dress of blue batiste, styled with a ballerina skirt, and accented by red accessories. ac-cessories. Her corsage was of deep red roses. Miss Doris Butters attended the bride as maid of honor. The bride is currently in training at LDS hospital school of nursing, and is a former student stu-dent of Brigham Young University, Univer-sity, Provo. M., former Ft, Duchesne residents, announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Janet, to Robert James Matson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralno Matson, of Stans-bury, Stans-bury, Wyoming. Nuptials were performed August 17 at the Christian Reform church at Crownpolnt, N. M. For the occasion the bride was gowned in a floor-length dress of white embroideried organdy or-gandy and carried a bouquet of carnations. Steve Wilson, of Pinedale, Wyoming, was best man, Th new Mrs. Matson gradu ated with honors from Alterra high school, where she was active ac-tive in sports and music, and later attended Westminster college, col-lege, Salt Lake City. Mr. Matsen received his BA degree from Westminster college col-lege in June, 1950 The newlyweds will make their home in Green River, Wyoming, SALMON - WILKINS Miss Mary Winona Salmon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross A. Peterson, of Ceriterfield, will exchange wedding vows with Calvin R. Wilkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wilkins, of Roosevelt, Roos-evelt, in a double-ring ceremony in the Salt Lake LDS temple on September 8. President Robert Rob-ert D. Young wUJ officiate at the ceremony, Miss Salmon wil be attended attend-ed by her sister, Mrs, William F. Merrick, as matron of honor, hon-or, Miss Virginia Larsen, as maid of honor, and her sisters, Miss Frankie Salmon, Miss De-PO De-PO Peterson and Miss Arva Pet- erson, as bridesmaids. Little Portia Peterson, youngest sister of the bride, will be flower girl. Best man duties will be performed per-formed by Kent Nelson. Don Penfield, Parry A. Peterson and Ronald Christie will be ushers. The young couple will honey-mon honey-mon at Lake Tahoe before returning re-turning to Salt Lake City in time for Mr. Wilkins to continue his pre-medical studies at University Uni-versity of Utah. Miss Salmon is a graduate of the LDS Hospital School of Nursing, and is currently attending at-tending University of Utah. LUKE - HUDSON j Wedding bells are in the offing off-ing for Miss Algie Luke daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Wenzel Luke, of Roosevelt, and Richard Rich-ard G. Hudson, son of Mr. and Mrs Cliff Hudson, of Tomahawk Toma-hawk Wisconsin, who will be wed Saturday, September 2, in Salt Lake City. Miss Luke graduated from Roosevelt high school last spring. She received her elementary ele-mentary education at Junction, Utah, moving with her family to Roosevelt in 1946. At present she is employed at the Pink and Tony Locker plant, Roosevelt. Mr. Hudson graduated from Racine high school, Wisonsin, and served two years with the Marines during World War II. Following his discharge from service he attended the University Univer-sity of Wisconsin for two years. He is now employed with the Stanolind Oil Company, stationed sta-tioned in Roosevelt. BURTON - CLARK BALLARD Of interest to their many friends is the announcement an-nouncement of the marriage of Miss Marlene. Burton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gibbs, of Roosevelt, to Noble Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Clark, of Ballard. The young couple v were wed in a ceremony performed per-formed August 12 at Duchesne. The new Mr. and Mrs. Clark are making their home in Salt' Lake City. ELLIOTT - WALL MT. EMMONS A late summer sum-mer wedding, performed August 25 at Memorial House in Memory Mem-ory Park, Salt Lake City, united in marriage Miss Carol Elliott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claw-son Claw-son S. Elliott, of Salt Lake City, former Mt. Emmons residents, and Jay Wall, son of Mr. and i Mrs. Leonard Wall, of Mt. Emmons. Em-mons.
