Show Funerals MRS. V. E. CHRISTIANSEN ALTONAH Funeral services for Mrs. Verl E. Clark Christiansen, Chris-tiansen, 27, were held Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Altonah ward chapel, with Bishop Lester Max-field Max-field officiating. Mrs. Christiansen died Monday, Mon-day, Oct. 31, at the Dragerton hospital, as a result of a heart attack. Prayer at the home was offered offer-ed by Arthur Timothy. Prelude and Postlude music was played by Mrs. Lucy Jacobson. The invocation in-vocation was offered by W. A. Maxfield, and Presley Timothy, of Roosevelt, pronounced the benediction. Musical selections included numbers by a ladies' chorus, comprised of Mrs. Elva Snyder, Mrs. Verna Allred, Mrs. Made-lin Made-lin Perkins, Mrs. Ross Iorg, Mrs. Beth Jessen', Mrs. Nedra Mohl-man Mohl-man and Mrs. Norma Jessen, with a vocal solo by Mrs. Norma Nor-ma Jessen. The speakers were Glen Mohl-man', Mohl-man', Arthur Timothy and Darwin Dar-win Brinkerhoff, of the Emery ward. Burial was in the Altonah cemetery. Mrs. Christiansen was born Sept. 5, 1922, at Altonah, a daughter of Jerry H. and Eliza Timothy Clark. She received her education in the Altonah elementary school and Altamgnt high school. She was married to Melvin Christiansen in March, 1944, and has since made her home in Carbon county. Survivors include her husband; hus-band; one son, Max Christiansen, Christian-sen, Sunnydale; her parents, Altonah; Al-tonah; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Powell, Altonah, Mrs. Thora Liddell, Roosevelt, Mrs. Docia Tallerica, Sunnyside, and Mrs. Alta Karren, Bonanza; four brothers, James S. Clark, Vernal, Ver-nal, and Vince, John and Dan Clark, all of Bonanza; and a grandfather, Brigham Timothy. ANDREW TOLBOE Andrew T o 1 b o e, prominent Myton businessman, died Monday Mon-day evening at his home following follow-ing a month's illness. Funeral services were conducted Thursday Thurs-day afternoon in the Myton ward chapel, Bishop Syerl Dennis Den-nis officiating. Burial was in the Myton cemetery. Mr. Tolboe was born at Ran-ders, Ran-ders, Denmark, Aug. 30, 1876, a son of Christian T. and Dorothea Doro-thea Summerfelt Tolboe. The family moved to the United States in' 1883. They resided at Heber for a short time, and then moved to Sandy, where Mr. Tolboe Tol-boe received his schooling. He married Fannie Crapo at Moab, October 10, 1907, and they lived at Sandy until 1909, .when' they moved to Provo. In 1917 they moved to Myton where Mr. Tolboe first engaged in farming, and later establish- ; ed a merchantile business. Two years ago he built a new store : and locker plant in Myton. I He is survived by his widow; a son, A. C. Tolboe, Myton; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis I Wood, Myton, Mrs.- Dorothea Hall and Mrs. Frieda Benson, Inglewood, Calif; four grandchildren; grand-children; two brothers, Anton Tolboe, Grass Valley. Calif., and 1 Amos Tolboe, Redmond; and one sister Mrs. Eliza Mickelson, of Grass Valley, Calif. DAVID W. McKEE Funeral services for David W o o 1 e y McKee, 20-month-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Mc Kee, of Tridell, were held Tuesday Tues-day in the Tridell ward chapel, under the direction of Bishop ' H. LeRoy Morrill. Interment : was in the Tridell cemetery. David was accidentally crush- ed to death beneath the wheels of a truck Sunday at the fam-jily fam-jily home. Deputy Sheriff Forrest Good-'rich Good-'rich said the child had left the 1 house shortly before the accident, acci-dent, and was playing on the ground when hit by the truck as it was backing into the yard. 1 A number of turkeys were , between the backing truck and i the child, according to Goodrich. He reported the driver was exonerated ex-onerated from blame in the child's death. Surviving the victim are his parents and six brothers and sisters: Gaylen, Betty Ruth, La-Donna, La-Donna, Glen, Arthur and Arlo Ray McKee, all of Tridell. |
