Show Resolution FISH AND GAME Uintah and Ouray Agency Fort Utah October 1958 the Ute Fish and Game Board vast created under ordinance enacted by the Uintah and Ouray Tribal Business Committee at a meeting held October 1950 and approved by the Secretary of the the so enacted delegated powers of the Ute Fish and Game Board to exercise general control of all fishing and hunting on the Reservation it is the desire of this Board to control the hanling and killing of elk to the end that this resource of the Tribe is increased and multiplied for the benefit and enjoyment of the members of the Uto Indian it is deemed in the best interest of the Ute Indians to so regulate the hunting killing of elk on that portion of the Reservation partitioned to the full-blood group of the Ute Indian NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE UTE FISH AND GAME BOARD THAT under the authority vested in the Board by Article II Section of ordinances dated October 1950 And approved by the Secretary of the Interior that hunting and killing of elk is hereby prohibited on that portion of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation apportioned to the full-blood group by any person except and unless such person is issued a permit granted by authority of Board to so take or kill It is herein further provided that any person with elk in his without having a valid permit authorizing him to so do will lose his hunting privileges on the Reservation for a period of one year and further violation may result in such individual losing liis hunting privileges for more than year after due notice and hearing before the Tribal Ambrose Wash Roy Ankerpont Sam Bush CERTIFICATION I hereby certify that the preceding Resolution was by the Uintah and Ouray Tribal Fish and Game Board at a regular meeting in Fort Utah on the day of October by a vote of 3 for and none Alfred Uintah and Ouray Tribal Fish and Game Board October 1958 |
