Rex, Randolph, killed somewhere in the South Pacific; Dee Johnson, son of Alex Johnson, formerly of Garden City, now of Salt Lake City, killed in action; Rex Schenck, killed in action France, son of Mrs. Ella Schenck of Randolph; Earl Myers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Heber Myers r of Laketown, was killed in an airplane crash while in training; James Robertson, former Randolph citizen, came from Evanston, but was registered and inducted from Rich county. Jimmie was killed in action, place unknown. Eleven men were transients, not Rich county men, but registered and inducted from here. lEighteen have been discharged from the army as Hollows: Dr. Fred P. Patten, Wayne Rex, Lucille Rees, Ned Spencer, Wallace Schulthess, Mrs. Dorothy Kennedy Sims - died Monday in Ogden at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred J. Myers, after an extended illness. ..She was born May 24, 1868, at Salt Lake City, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Corless. She married Matthew Kennedy in 1888. He died in Ogden in 1908. On May 23, 1910, she married Arthur S. Sims of Ogden. He died in 1943. She has resided Ih Ogden for 27 years; before that time she had lived in Salt Lake City and Randolph, Utah. Mrs. Sims has been an active member in te Relief Society and other organizations of the L D S church. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Matthew Kennedy of Plain City, Utah; Gilbert Enoch, Harvey and Vernal Kennedy, Mrs. Fred Myers, Mrs. Harold Shupe, Mrs. Lynn Costello and Mrs. Clayne Criddle, of Ogden; Mrs. Albert Smith,, Randolph ; Mrs. Joseph DeBry, Modesto, Calif.; also 29 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
