During this time he underwent a serious operation at the Budge hospital in Logan. Fred Miles, chief engineer for Northern Utali Roads is at the Summit Camp this Wednesday, giving instructions to the road crews. Mrs. Lois Osborn and two children and Mrs. David Norris, were stage passengers Saturday enroute to Evanston where they spent the week end. Mrs. Bertha Passey returned home Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Morrell Booth of Paris are caring for the C. E. Rich ranch at Lakota while Ed is under doctors care in Paris. Principal L. B. Pope drove to Logan to get medical aid. We were the loosers but it is nice to be a good looser. Mr. and Mrs. Poison of Kemmerer came Friday after school for their daughter to take her home for the week end. Miss Lyla Huffaker accompanied them and they are to attend the Sweetheart Ball at Kemmerer in the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Dean and Janice and Merylin motored to Salt Lake City Friday to attend a funeral of Mrs. Deans relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Putnam and Cox attended the Sweetheart Ball at Kemmerer Friday. Mrs. Melvin Putnam accompanied her son Howard to Salt Lake this week. Howard left lor the services and his mother is there visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sims of Salt Lake City were at church Sunday. Eastman. We are sorry to learn of the death of Sidney Nebeker. He has been a prominent man in our county in, political affairs, also is government activities Also we extend our deepest sympathies to the bereaved. Many of the people around town attended the Sweetheart Ball at Randolph Tuesday night. They all reported as having a good time. The Daughters of Pioneers held their meeting Wednesday at the home of Lyla Huffaker. It was very instructive. Refreshments were served after the lesson.
