Show EXTENSION NEWS NOTES 1 4 11 INSTITUTE the following 4 1 II 11 club members attended a weeks senior 4 11 club institute at the college in logan during june miss luclle lucile rees bees woodruff mr fay kennedy randolph mr ir harold myers laketown Lake town and miss elaine garden city in addition to these regular delegates delegate lavon laron euer eller jay taylor geo N weston and lewis robinson of the forestry club attended four days of the institute sti tute they had a very interests inter interesting estl ino and valuable experience along with with some home members from various parts of utah these members were ere selected because of several years 1 4 H 11 club experience peri ence and as a reward for success effort in their club work 4 H OUTING AND DAIRY SHOW over people from rich county comity had a very enjoyable em syable time at the coun conn tv v 4 ir club outing at lakota resort tilly the roller skating furniss ed as much entertainment for the spectators as for those on wheels the single men outdid the married men by two runs in a close game of indoor baseball swimming volley ball and other parnes games were used to entertain the various interests E everyone elyone enjoyed a hearty outdoor lunch the camp aire anre program was outstanding and those present were very much impressed with mr lee kays talk on fish life in bear lake as well as a campfire story stor the thousand year pine pille by mr lyman 11 II rich mr 1 kay ay is from the state fish and game department and mr rich is from the extension service at logan the garden city german band under tinder direction of mr mn ernest played several musical numbers which added spice to the pro rim ram the girls clubs from Lake laketown town and randolph sang several appropriate n te songs A dance at tile the resort followed the campfire program it 1 is planned to shift the outing back into june for 1938 1038 and continue this event as an annual county 4 11 club outing in the future the ile laketown Lake LaRe town dairy club including eleven members under tinder the leadership of mr arlo weston and mr fr paul lamborn put on tin an intern interesting ainz pro grom of club activities in the form of showing and judging budgin dairy cattle he complimented the he boys and their leaders on the interest the were taking taken and the way they had their calves fitted for the show of course this dairy show would not be complete without mr wm win J lamborn and mr john H weston and true to their post both were present to encourage the hoys and stimulate interest in better dairy cattle and better care and management mr lamborn brought out several of his producing cows and the new purebred I 1 bull recently purchased by mr and him himself ll 11 places in judging and showmanship manship were as follows holsteins under one year lawrence taylor kenneth myers 2nd and james taylor 3rd ard hugh lamborn in a class by himself received a blue rib ribbon lion young holstein cows fresh freshened elied ellis lamborn Laim born wesley weston 2nd and aged holstein cows paul lamborn howard lamborn Lani born and 2nd guernsey calves elmer strom 1st ast eldon webb aud richard lamborn 3rd ard lawrence lawrence taylors type holstein calf WO won n the junior championship I 1 and paul lamboin won the senior benfor championship pion plon ship with hi his high producing holstein cow in the showmanship
