Eeeles, Vice RA- President of the First Security Bank of Utah, National Association discussed the Feder al Housing Act in a radio broadcast, Wednesday May 8th at 10:30 p. m. over KSL. Franklin D. Richards, State Director of the Federal Housing Administration introduced Mr. Eccles, who, through his banks has been an appreciable factor in the success of the Better Housing Program in Utah. The Federal Housing Act is one of the most important steps taken by the National Administration to combat the depression. It not only provides a financial means of combat, but stimulates the morale of the homte owner. In doing this we must all agree that the major step toward recovery has been achieved. The extent to which this step reaches forward depends entirely upon the use to which you as proiei'ty owners put it. The vehicle has been provided, now it is up to The Fed you to make use of it eral Housing Administration has as its purpose the reconstruction of the national home mortgage debt burden upon a sound basis, so that normal real estate values may be recreated, and so that new private residential construction may come where the nor mal economic market demands it This plan invisions new construction and building activity and general improve-tne- t of housing standards by the normal action of economic forces in a sound real estate financial market. said Mr. Etecles in, urging people to avail themselves of Federal Housing loans.
