Show obituaries ob auar e 9 JAMES JAIMES WILLIAM mcclellan james william mcclellan McClel lun 79 died at noon sunday april 17 at his home in glenwood enwood GI after having been ill III several months born at payson december 29 1858 he was a son of william and alameda day mcclellan he went from payson to 1 when 21 years s of age to seek employment and worked there and in wayne county until his parents and others othera were called by the church to help settle arizona and new mexico he spent a year with them and then returned to koosharem Koo sharem where lie he met miss johanna who became his wife june 30 1884 they were married in the logan temple they lived at until 1906 when the family moved to glenwood mr air mcclellan endured many hardships of pioneer life he drove an ox team to mexico three times he crossed the colorado river at lees ferry seven children were born to mr and mrs airs mcclellan A Mc CleIlan mrs mcclellan lan died september 4 1926 surviving are three children william mcclellan and mrs airs eugenia cloward of glenwood enwood GI and mrs airs gladys of salt lake 16 grandchildren four brothers chas C mcclellan Mc CleIlan logan george A mcclellan Mc CleIlan salt lake david A mcclellan mesa arizona edward C mcclellan Mc CleIlan coloma juarez mexico four sisters mrs maria hatch colonia juarez mexico mrs airs rhoda cordon el paso texas mrs airs cinthia bailey salt lake mrs airs eva bahlev provo and four half brothers earl mcclellan Mc CleIlan payson wilford mcclellan delta orson mc clellan payson and carol lan ian ogden funeral services were held wednesday afternoon in the glenwood ward chapel A TL WILLIAMS funeral services were held tuesday at salina for A U williams who died suddenly of heart failure friday afternoon the son of jane tidwell and geo S williams he was born in senica county kansas on december 27 1866 in 1869 he came to utah with his parents and has made it his home since then he married annie elizabeth murphy on november 28 1887 at salina during his early residence in salina he helped quarry out rock for the junior high school building the grade school building and various homes in this vicinity he also carved sold and played violins of all sizes in addition to ills his widow he is survived by two daughters mrs airs samuel J adams layton and mrs ernald lorentzen of shelley idaho five sons vard williams layton and floyd mont thurland and mark williams all of salina 34 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren 0 ULUE LILLIE PORTER funeral services were held wednesday of last week in the ward chapel tit lit central for mrs lillie porter whitlock who died april 10 bishop leland gray conducted the services the ward choir sang beautiful isle of somewhere my father knows and rest rest for the weary soul mrs lloyd N gleave of annabella sang lay my head beneath a rose speakers were G A staples C 0 anderson jean camp of annabella and bishop bishof gray the invocation was by ben marble the benediction by delbert G ence christian bousel dedicated the grave interment being in the central cemetery brothers and brothers in law acted as pallbearers pall bearers flowers were carried by members of the relief society |
