Show I 1 ELSINORE MARY P AHLSTROM I 1 correspondent I 1 0 0 the elsinore ward conference w was held sunday evening with bishop leon T madsen in charge reports were made by ill all ward organizations stake visitors were in attendance the elsinore Ela inore ward relief society celebrated the sixtieth anniversary of its organization thursday evening by entertaining at a chicken dinner in the relief society rooms from 6 to 8 at 8 a pageant was presented depicting the organization of the relief society 60 years ago and its history to date mrs kenneth jacobson was the reader and parts were taken by descendants of the former leaders A large crowd was in attendance mrs airs J B hansen relief society president was in charge she has been president for 14 years and much work has been accomplished under her leadership the elsinore literary club met wednesday evening in their club rooms with mrs peter jensen president in charge mrs chas 11 hamilton of richfield displayed costumes from china and japan where she served in the presbyterian by terian church mission a few years ago the club has been studying china and japan and the costume display was very interesting to the members miss zola sorensen was hostess to the club wednesday evening at her home dinner was served to twelve guests after which tables were arranged for bridge miss elizabeth sorensen won the bridge award mrs roy marx mam entertained at a family dinner sunday honoring her daughter glenna on her birthday mrs anna anderson les I 1 ter anderson mr and mrs linford anderson mr and mrs wen dell peterson and mr and mrs J D sandberg Sand beig of richfield were guests word has haa been received by mr and mrs airs C marquardson that their daughter lavon who has been serving as a missionary in the northwestern states the past 18 months will arrive home december 23 miss marquardson taught in the commercial department of the south sevier high school for two years before going on her mission the ward sunday school is preparing a christmas program to be presented in ward sunday school conference sunday evening mr air and mrs john franks announce the birth of a daughter announcement is also made of the birth of a daughter to mr and mrs arthur crosland miss lucille bailey spent last weekend at manti with her mother mrs sena bell returned last week from provo where she visited her son claude of caliente Calien tc nevada mrs bell also spent a few days with relatives in salt lake |
