Show KILLED TWO IN CAH victims at local hospital ellis taken to provo for burial I 1 john euis ellis 34 of monte california died at 9 p m wednesday n c ada Y at the richfield hospital of injuries ur le rec received ei vedin 1 in an automo automobile bild accident on the highway a mile south of marydale marysvale Marys Mary vale at p in the same day in which four other persons were injured ellis suffered a broken neck broken right arm broken ribs and a skull fracture clyde davies 29 of seventh avenue salt lake the driver of the car suffered a broken nose a fracture of the left lef t arm and lacerations about the face john warmington 50 of detroit had his right arm fractured an aix ear car badly lacerated and possible internal injuries mrs addle torres 30 1226 west custer street denver had four ribs fractured the breast bone broken loose from the ribs on the right side bruises and lac inc erat orations ions mrs lucille Jei jenann isen 30 girard avenue salt lake received minor cuts and bruises warmington and mrs torres are still in a serious condition they are being treated at the local hospital there was some difficulty in locating relatives of mr ellis but contacts were finally made and a wire sent to sheriff allen alien stated that the body would be taken care of from provo through the hatch mortuary according to 13 A taylor justice of the peace at marysvale Marys vale who investigated the accident the davies car was traveling north tracks indicated the car started swerving and clung to the pavement for almost feet before it overturned ellis was pinned beneath the machine which was demolished the road was perfectly straight and free of obstructions justice taylor stated W 0 cluff and H T martines martinea of richfield who arrived at the scene of the mishap shortly after it occurred assisted in extricating ellis from beneath the wreckage the injured were taken to a nearby near by farmhouse and later to richfield in a D R G bus davies said he had delivered a sewing machine to los angeles and before returning to salt lake encountered a friend who operates an automobile stage at the suggestion of his friend he was transporting the occupants of his car to salt lake by way of zion national park he said he be was driving along when he suddenly felt the car pull to the right he swung to the th e left in an effort to overcome the pull but could not regain control before the car overturned he said he did not know whether or not a we trie had blown out the plute county sheriffs department part ment is further investigating the accident |
