Show FUNERAL SERVICES heg mangay FOR apis W T I 1 speakers k pay glowing tribute to church worker and friend the first ward chapel was waa crowded with friends and relatives of the orrock family when funeral services were held there monday afternoon for mrs anna H orrock wife of william T orrock who passed away at her home here saturday death resulting from a heart attack following a two weeks illness bishop enoch R larsen presided at the services and spoke briefly of mrs Or rocks service to the church to her family and friends other speakers were G W blomquist who recalled mrs rocks Or activities as a youngwon young woman mrs H winkel who was associated with her in the presidency of the first ward relief society several years ago and F M ogden who was bishop of the ward at the time mrs orrock was relief society president all of the speakers referred especially to mrs Or rocks kindliness and gentleness of manner to her thought falness in always taking flowers from her garden to people who were ill musical numbers included two appropriate selections by the relief society cahours under direction of mrs harvey jensen with mrs lizzle lizzie hansen at the organ mrs H W keate and mrs moroni jensen singing the duet part for one chorus a vocal trio lead me savior by mrs lizzle lizzie hansen mrs J lerue ogden and J W ward a cello solo by M L done vocal solos the link divine by mrs jas M peterson and mother dear by mrs effie B E hulbert of salt lake the opening prayer was by J W ross the benediction by john ence interment was vas in the city cemetery charles wilson dedicated the grave pallbearers Pall bearers were wm erickson weber erickson charles wilson chariton john and joseph orrock mrs orrock was born in sweden march 21 1873 As the adopted daughter of niels and bengta hendrickson she came to utah when she was eight years of age her parents were converts of the L D S church and ancl she was baptized a member of the church in the north sea while en route to america the family lived in salt lake two years before coming to richfield which became their permanent home from the time she was about 13 years of age mrs orrock was active in music circles in sevier county singing on numerous occasions lons she was always active in L D S church organizations and for five years served as president of the first ward relief society her marriage to william T orrock took place november 28 1894 in the mantl manti temple to them were born three daughters and two sons the youngest son cummings died five years ago while working at tooele thoele surviving are the husband W T orrock three daughters mrs orin A ogilvie of salt lake miss elna orrock of salt lake and mrs E L wheelhouse of long beach california and one son W 11 orrock of ol Ogden eleven grandchildren survive also all of mrs mra Or rocks immediate family as well as aa a number of other relatives and friends came to richfield for the funeral |
