Show TORREY by special correspond correspondent Corre spon d en t 0 0 vern snow who recently moved mo ved to canada passed away at his home there on christmas morning death resulting from pneumonia the body was as brought bi ought t to 0 teasdale his home town for interment and funeral services w were ere held h eld in the teasdale chapel tuesday of last week bishop haskin lyman officiated off icia ted and music was in charge of S H chidester in addition to selections by the choir the musical numbers included a quartet by reta meeks wanda chidester rufus biohn in and S H chi chidester a boys chorus by hans jackson R J dally rex dally and jesse jcsse buchanan a vocal duet duct by reta meeks and wanda chidester and a violin and saxophone duet by S H and wanda chidester the speakers were president fred webster george R A meeks and ellas ellis taft prayers were offered by george T eckersley and i reuben meeks interment took place in the teasdale cemetery where vern layman an dedicated the grave the many beautiful floral offerings were carriel carried by a group of little kills gills relatives of the deceased were charles snow jr ernest peterson francis lyman E J parker george C brinkerhoff and george coombs vern snow was born bom at teasdale february 9 1902 lind and spent practically all of his life in wayne county A few years ago however he went to canada to visit relatives while there lie met and married lula andorson anderson after their marriage they made their home in wayne county until a short time ago when they went to canada with a view to making it their homes if they found conditions satisfactory the demised deceased is survived by his widow and one son lavard age 2 his father charles snow and the following brothers and sisters chas snow jr of monticello mrs E jparker of joseph mrs francis lyman and mrs airs emma J brinkerhoff of bicknell and superintendent anne snow of teasdale mr air snow will ill be greatly missed in the church and ward activities he proved always to be prominent and efficient as a leader he was superintendent of the sunday school of the teasdale ward at the time of his death george chappell Cli appell one of wayne countes coun tys early settlers and for many years a prominent wayne county citizen died at his home in lyman on new ceals day pneumonia was the immediate cause of his death although tie he had been ailing for a long iong time he is sury survived ived by his widow and the following children george jr william charles lee becj pratt and dell chappel all of lyman and edward chappell of vermilion funeral services wele hold held aorl for mr chappell saturday in the lyman ward chapel mrs mattie blattie king left a few daysi days ago for elsinore Elsi noie she will s tay stay w with ith her daughter alice goldbranson for a while arthur chaffin who sustained a broken leg is able to go about on crutches he was a guest at tile the home of earl behunin sunday evening 1 walter mulford of vermilion has been a gueft at the home of his sister hattie robinson tile the past week |
