pronounced by J P christensen mrs kelson was born november 15 1848 in ferslev jerslev Jer denmark she wa was the daughter of thomas G C and karen marie alarie jensen who with their entire family joined the L D S church in their native land on the oth of may 1865 they left their home and boarded the sailing vessel B S kimball at hamburg and sailed for america landing in new york on june 14 from there they traveled by boat and rail to wyoming nebraska here it was found that the emigration train under the management of thomas taylor was unable to accini accommodate all of the immigrants so mrs kelson had to undertake the journey onward without her parents and brothers and sisters which she willingly lid did at the age of sixteen walking all the way from wyoming nebraska to salt lake
