Show HER MERCHANT OF MT. PLEASANT i GALLEDJY HEATH Gunner Anthoa G undersoil, prominent prom-inent pioneer merchant of Ml. Pleasant, Pleas-ant, died at the family home la Sunday evening. April 6th, at six o'clock, following an illness of nearly near-ly seventeen years with rheumatism . and other complications. Mr. G-underson was born in Mount ! Pleasant October 15, 18i5, the son . of Eric and Caroline Johnson Gun-derson, Gun-derson, early pioneers of this valley. On November 28, 18&4 he was married mar-ried to Miss Amanda Peckstrom of this city, and four children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy. Mr. Gunderson has resided here all his life, and has been actively active-ly engaged in the confectionery busi ness on lower Main Street for more than thirty-five years, during which time he has gained the respect and esteem of all who knew him. uuraig nis long illness ..n. uun-derson uun-derson has been a patient sufferer, always cheerful and full of hope. His ever pleasant smile was a sign of welcome to friend and stranger alike, and his courageous nature inspired in-spired all who came in contact with him. All stores and ether business establishments es-tablishments in the city were closed during the funeral services which were conduce! by Bishop H. C. Jacobs Ja-cobs in the North ward chapel Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon commencing at two o'clock. Prapers were oftered by Ruel Seely and President 3. M. Nielsen, Niel-sen, and a combined choir from both wards sang the folio.'.::.' hymn?: "Sometime We'll Understand." "Though Pecpnir.g Trials." and "I Need Thee Every Hour." In addition ad-dition there were three special musical mu-sical numbers, a solo. "Come Unto Me," by Miss Christie Cl:: k: a luet, "Jesus Is Calling." by the Miirs ELia Ha ten and Cert rude Rolfion; and a solo. "Face to Face." by Miss Elida Staker. The speakers W3re Henry p. Olson. Eishop Ncilsc-n of fountain Green, C. W. Sorensen, and Bishop H. C. Jacobs. ; It of whom payed tribute to the sterling worth of the departed, and also spoke highly high-ly of his family who have stood by him so loyally during his long illness. The pallbearers were Mr. Guilder-son's Guilder-son's brothers and nephews, Lars, Carlos and Nephi Gunderson of Price an.i Erick, Vern H.. and Curtis Gunderson Gun-derson of Mount Pleasant. The grave in the city cemetery was ded'-cated ded'-cated by William Olson. The floral offerings were exceed, ingly beautiful and numerous, being banked high on the casket and surrounding sur-rounding stands. Several beautiful contributions were received from business firms in different parts of the state. Among those who came to Mount Pleasant to attend the services were Laban A. Gunderson of Grace, Idaho, Mrs. R. H. Morris. Mrs. B. E. Smith, Miss Alice Pettit and Arthur Peckstrom Peck-strom of Salt Lake City, Mr. and, Mrs.- Carlos Gunderson. Mr. and Mrs. Lars Gunderson and Mr. and Mrs. Nephi Gur.l-r"--on of Price, and Miss Louise Beckstrom of Moroni. Mrs. Rachel Allied, only dau,-hter of the deceased, was unable to b.n present on account of illness. The people of Mt.
