Show FAIR VIEW Levern Jensen has gone to Sunny-side Sunny-side to work on a diamond drill. Otto Matson was a Salt Lake City visitor last week. Mrs. Fred Olsen spent Saturday and Sunday visiting at Ephraim. Mrs. N. P. Christensen spent a few days at Salt Lake City this week. J. W. Christiansen went to Idaho Sunday where he has employment for the summer. Miss Orabell Hansen returned from Price this week. While at Price she was the guest of Miss Addie Morley. Mrs. Newel Cox, who spent the past two months with her mother at Cas-tledale, Cas-tledale, returned home Monday. Eli Taylor and Roy Taylor of Salem are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Swen O. Neilson. Mrs. Parley Powell of Coalville is a guest at the home of her father, Walter Cox, and is visiting relatives and friends. Mrs. Mary Brockbank of Salt Lake City spent the past week visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sund. wall. Miss Minnie Peterson of Fairview and Howard Mills of Mt. Pleasant were married at Manti Wednesday. May 2nd. Miss Rowena Larsen of the public school faculty and Wilford Hansen of Mammoth were married at Salt Lake City on Saturday, April 28th. Mrs. Archie Christensen and children chil-dren of Mammoth are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Christensen. Chris-tensen. John Frank Stewart has quit the employ of Swen O. Neilson as sales man and Myron Vance has taken his place. Mr. Stewart will run his mother's farm. Wendell Peacock of Fairview and M'ss Hortense AUred of Spring City were married at Manti last week. Nephi Cruser and family expect to leave snon for San Juan county where they go tc make their home, s The ninth grade gave a class party Saturday night at the high school gymnasium. Dancing, music: an' gVmes and a daml; luncheon made a pleasant evening lor all the members of ihe class and the: teachers. Mrs. J. T. Fowles and little sou, Maurice, left Monday for Ephraim where she will stay with her parents and Mrs. Charles AUred during the summer while Mr. Fowles is in south, ei n Utah. Four Fairview girls were among the graduates of the North Sanpete High School this year. They were Miss Verona Cox, Miss Maud Christensen, Chris-tensen, Miss Elva Madsen and Miss Juanita Sanderson. On Friday evening a party was given in honor of Orson Cox who has joined the U. S. Navy; beivr; given in connection with the closing high school party. A patriotic program of (songs and speeches was given and the evening spent iu dancing. The Ladies Literary club met at the home of Mrs. N. P. Christensen Mav 4th. A Mother's day program was given. A reading on 'Mother' was given by Mrs. Fred Danielson. A poem on 'Mother' was given by Mrs. Vern Sanderson. A vocal solo was also given by Mrs. Nephi Cruser.' Teu ladies were present to whom dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. P. C. Jensen was operated upon some time ago at the Holy Cross hospital and was improving nicely and after three weeks returned home. After she came home she was taken seriously ill and was confined to her bed for eleven weeks. She is up and around again and she thanks her many friends for all they have done for her. She had five different operations oper-ations performed upon her. Miss Irene Cruser entertained Wednesday Wed-nesday evening at a slumber party. The time was spent in games, music and dancing. A midnight saipper and an excellent breakfast wery served to the following guests: Maud Christensen, Chris-tensen, Georgia Christensen, Elva Madsen, Ruby Graham, Elva Soren-sen, Soren-sen, Grace Olsen, Arniabell Pritchett, Verda Cheney, Velora AUred, Vivian Christensen, Mrs. Orsen Tucker, Irene Cruser and Mrs. Nephi Cruser. |
