S. forces has awarded the distinguished distinguish-ed service cross to Private William A. Justeson, U. S. M. C, American Expeditionary Forces: "For extraordinary extra-ordinary heroism in action near Vier-zy, Vier-zy, France, July 19, 1918. He displayed dis-played exceptional bravery in charging charg-ing three machine guns with the aid of a small detachment of his comrades, com-rades, killing the crews and capturing captur-ing the guns, which were immediately immediate-ly turned on the Germans, thereby opening the lines for the ackvance of his company, which had been held up by the enemy's fire."
