Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tucker are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby boy at their home April 13th. Alfonso Terry of Provo and Ira .Terry of Lyman, Woming spent a few 'days here with relatives this week. Mrs. Albert Clement went to Murray Mur-ray Wednesday to visit relatives, and to nurse her daughter, Mrs. Reuben Orton. The ladies' band gave a gymnasium gymnas-ium party. Tuesday evening after band rehearsal. Light refreshments were served. Miss Tressa Lindquist came home from Salt Lake City and sp-ent a week with relatives. She returned to her work this week. Mrs. Robert Oldioya of Fountain Green was a guest at the home of her father, Mr. Swen 0. Neilson, last week. Mr. and Mrs. Will Terry and Mrs. , Myron Johnson and children spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Loren Terry at Centerfield. , Mr. and Mrs. Charles Terry, Jr., of Lyman, Wyoming, visited friends and relatives here last week. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Peterson. Peter-son. Mrs. N. P. Christensen, who was called to Idaho to attend the funeral of her nephew, returned home last week. She spent a few days at Salt Lake City on her way home. Jordan Mower and his mother, Mrs. Matilda Buchanan, went to Salt Lake City Wednesday to attend the funeral of a small son of Marion Mower Mrs. George Mower and children who spent the past two months at Centerville returned home last week Mrs. Howard Rigby entertained the. joy club at her' home Wednesday evening, ev-ening, April 11th. Mrs. Clyde Cheney, who spent the past month in Missouri, returned 'home 'this week. Her mother, Mrs. Croudis of Reger, Missouri, accompanied accom-panied her here and will visit relatives rela-tives in this city. Zella, the small daughter of Mr and Mrs. Lafayette Rollins died of scarlet fever, April 12th. This is the first case of scarlet fever in our city ;that has proved fatal The parents have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement. The Y. L. M. I. A. gave their bazar Tuesday, April 17th. A number of articles made by the girls were sold, lunches also being served. A dance was given in the afternnn f .i. children and one in the evening for the older ones. One of the most successful socials of the week was given Friday, April 13th in the school gymnasium. The Unity girls and the Literary club entertained en-tertained their partners. The evening even-ing was spent in unique games, music and dancing. A delicious luncheon was served to about fifty guests.. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Tucker returned re-turned home from Salt Lake City Wednesday where they spent the past .month. Mr. Tucker received medical treatment at the hospital 'but did not undergo any operation. His health is much improved. He is convales-i convales-i cent. ' At the conjoint session Sunday 'evening the officers were sustained as follows for the M. I. A. coming year: Ezra .Vance, president with Heber Mower and Henry Jones as counsellors counsel-lors and Edwin Olsen as secretary. For the young ladies Quoquella Jones is presiaent with Ethel Stewart and Minerva Peterson as counsellors and Agatha Larsen, secretary. Members of the ward choir and friends of Thurman Rigby gave him a welcome home party at the home of his mother, Mrs. Moroni Turpin Wednesday evening. Mr. Rigby re-j cently returned from a mission to the I southwestern states. An informal' program of speeches, songs and music) was given. Dainty refreshments were! served to over fifty guests. j One of the most successful and en-! joyable parties of the week was an Easter party given by Louise, Buena and Eva Anderson at the home of the latter Sunday evening. The rooms were decorated in Easter col-Drs. col-Drs. A four-course luncheon was served to the Misses Atelia Sanderson, Sander-son, Minta Sanderson, Ora Peterson, Snid Peterson, Mrs. Clifton Anderson, Ander-son, and Messrs Reese Bench, Guy Tucker, Milo Miner, Alvin Day, Leon Howell, Kemmer Stevens and the hostesses. The wives and daughters of the Black Hawk veterans held their last meeting April 6th when the following program was given: Singing, Dear Comrades of Fairview; prayer, Lizzie Anderson; singing, Proudlv in fiWvl Floating O'er Us; reminiscenses of the Black Hawk War, Christian Peterson; Pet-erson; song, Christa Brady; recitation, recita-tion, Lizzie Cix; harmonica music, Goldie Peterson and Alvin Brady' speech on Pioneer days, Mary Peterson; Peter-son; reading, Mrs. Nephi Cruser-song, Cruser-song, Black Hawk Time; selection' harmonica boys. Miss Lizzie Anderson Ander-son was released as second vice re- gent and Mrs. Amelia' Bills was put j m her place. Thirty-five were present. pres-ent.
