Show NEIGHBORHOOD NEWS - Mrs. Leander Thompson returned to lu-r home at Kphraim Saturday. Mrs. Ralph Leonard and daughter, Maxine. returned to their home at -Salt Lake Sunday. Nettie Beatimann and Myrtle Larsen Lar-sen ate visiting at the Larsen saw mill in Huntington Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnston left this morning in their big ear for a Ashing trip at Fish Lake. Mrs. Andrew Jensen of Moroni is visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Edgar Ed-gar Frandsen in this city. Lavar Averett, who was recently operated upon for appendicitis at a Salt Lake hospital is reported to be doing very well. Mrs. Emily Averetts went to Castle Cas-tle Dale Tuesday to be present during an operation for appendicitis upon her daughter, Mrs. Robert Lake. Mrs. C. W. Sorensen was hostess at an elaborate luncheon Thursday afternoon complimentary to the officers of-ficers of the south ward Relief Society. So-ciety. Covers were placed for twen-. ty-four. Bishop and Mrs. James Larsen, Helen Larsen, Mrs. H. C. Jacobs, ' and Chariton Jacobs left Monday morning for Afton, Wyoming, by auto, to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Andrew An-drew Anderson. Mrs. Joseph Davis entertained Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Ann Reynolds, Mrs. Hyrum Christensen, Christen-sen, Mrs. John K. Madsen, Mrs. Elmer El-mer Johansen, Marian Larsen and Ida Larsen. Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Bonne went to Fairview Thursday to bid farewell to their nephew, Magnus Stevensen, who has joined the Second Idaho Infantry. In-fantry. A family dinner was enjoyed at the home. Roy L. Malmsten of the Forty-second Forty-second Infantry at Ft. Douglas sends greetings to his many friends in North Sanpete. He says that he has all the conveniences one could ask for in the army. Bishop A. P. Spillsbury and son, Marlow, left Saturday for his home at Toq'Uerville after visiting a short time at the McArthur home. Mrs. Spillsbury and children will visit here during the summer. Miss Hilda Madsen entertained at a delightful week-end party at the Madsen ranch at Indianola for Carol Rasmussen, Gretchen Horst, Tressa L. Ericksen, Mrs. Elmer Johansen, Elma Noland, Mrs. John K. Madsen, Alene Whittaker. Corene Seely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Seely, celebrated her eleventh birthday Thursday, August 9. The following little girls were present: Katie Bramstead, Pearl Hafen, Wilma Hafen, Elizabeth Proctor, Proc-tor, Vera Naef, Helen Fowles, Ira Reynolds and Myra Beck. |
