Funeral services were held Sunday IBS at 3 o'clock p. m. at the North Ward Chapel for Mrs. Carolina Madsen, who died at her home in this city on g Friday morning, August 3rd. The -I choir sang "Resting Now From Care and Sorrow" find the owning ..rayer was offered by Elder Wm. Olsen. "Jesus Lover of My Soul" was ren- W, dered by the choir. ' Peter Mor.sen, J.i p Judge Christensen and Bishop Ja- $ cobs were the speakers. The choir wug "Sometime We'll Understand" fii ami the services were closed by Elder El-der Joseph Seely. There were a large number of rcl-atives rcl-atives and friends who attended the services. The floral offering was very beautiful. Interment was made in fie city cemetery. . (). Caroline Frandsen Monsen was brn in Longland, Denmark, Janu- ar' 3, 1841, daughter of Frandejor-6en Frandejor-6en Frandsen and .nnle Myria Ras- j niussen Frandsen. She came . to America in 1S56, crossing the plains f the same year in Knudte Petersen's 3 company, her parents settling in St Brigliam City. She was married in Salt Lake to Niels Peter Madsen in ' ( 185i. Two years later they came to er j' Mount Pleasant where they liave allT 5 S'noe resided, Mr. Madsen preceding hef t0 the grave eight years.
