The parties given last week for the benefit of the ' meeting house were successful; the Y. L. M. I. A. cleared over forty dollars selling ice cream, and the Relief Society so:d over sixty dollars worth of dinners With thisamount to help the finane committee collected over three hundred hun-dred dollars. The Ladies Literar.i club met at the home of Mrs. John R. Graham May 8th and after an hour spent in needle work, an interesting meeting was held. Twelve ladies enjoyed the social hour which followed. Dainty refreshments were served. Mrs. Swen 0. Nielson entertained at a Kensington May 9th in honor of Mrs. S. W. Nieison. Each of the ladies present worked her namt-upen namt-upen a piece of ribbon and these were presented to the guest of hon or as a remembrance. The after noon was spent in games and social chat. Thirty two ladies enjoyed th three course luncheon served ann afterwards they all went for a ride in Mr. Norman's automobile. Mrs. Alec Bell of Castle Dale died May 12th from dropsy and othei complications following childbirth. Mrs. Bell was formerh ; Miss Anna H. Hartley of Fairview, she hai-been hai-been ill for over three months. Be sides her husband she leaves an infant in-fant son three months old, also hei father and a large number of brothers broth-ers and sisters and relatives to morn her loss. Mr and Mrs. Andrew Nielson of Colorado are visiting relatives here Mrs. Andrew Nielson of Fairview who has been ill the past mon'h, l reported much better. Mrs. Brown of Gnterville is th guest of her daughter Mrs. George Mower Jr. Born- to the wife of Jacob Bushman, Bush-man, a girl April 27th. |
