Show FAIRVIEW Darrel Rasmussen came home for a short vacation this week. Mrs. Frank Miner of Provo is spending ten (lays with relatives. Mrs. Fred Gardner went to El-berta El-berta to join her husband last week. Mrs. Siverna Rasmussen of Provo is visiting her sons this week. Miss Ora Short of Ogden returned home this week after a months visit here. Mrs. Lizzie Lamb of Wales is the guest of Mrs. John Vance and is visiting vis-iting relatives. Mrs. James Rigby, Sr., is spending spend-ing the week at Garfield visiting her sons. Mr. and Mrs. Tyson Tucker oflda-ho, oflda-ho, who spent the past month visiting visit-ing relatives here, returned to their home this week. j Miss Scerinda "Rasmussen has been appointed Postmaster at Fair-view Fair-view and will take charge of the office of-fice in about a week. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Allred, who spent the past year in Idaho have moved back and will make their home in Fairview. The play presented by the Junior . M. I. A. dramatic club was well given ' for amateurs. It was a comedy and was well received by the audience. Fifty five dollars was taken in and will be added to the Mutual Fund, j Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Farnworth, i Jr., of Ashton, Idaho, spent the past , two weeks visiting relatives at Fair- I view and Mt. Pleasant. The oung couple came to Salt Lake City to get married. The (following persons attended the Mutual Convention at Ephraim: C. P. Olsen, Lester Miner, Fred Rig-by, Rig-by, Joseph Day, A. Ira Cox, Tim Fowles, Orsen Tucker, Pauline 01-esn, 01-esn, Nettie Cox, Lizzie Anderson, lone Saunders and Agatha Larsen. Dr. John H. Taylor of Salt Lake City gave an excellent discourse in the M. I. A. meeting Sunday evening. He is a member of the General board of M. I. A. and also Scout Commissioner. Commis-sioner. His subject was vocational scout work. The dance given Saturday evening for the benefit of Mervin Brady and Lionel Peterson was a great success. Each of the young men were given a snug purse to help them to their missions. They will leave Feb. 10th for the Northwestern btatta. i : Last Monday evening a large party of relatives and friends went 10 the home of Jordan H. Brady and surprised sur-prised him. The evening was spent in games and a pleasant social way. An excellent luncheon was served. ,The occasion was in honor of his fifty second birthday. I Last week more than fifty of our people were at Manti working in the Temple. On Wednesday evening twenty six of them met at the Niel-son Niel-son house in a social party. A very pleasant time was had. Mr. and Mrs. Danielson who are regular Temple Tem-ple workers and O. S. Terry of Provo met with them. The Ladies Literary Club met at the home of Miss Mary Sundwall Feb. 27th. Russia and her people was given by Mrs. A. II. Anderson and discussed by members. A Parliament Par-liament drill by Mrs. Chas. Peacock Current events by Mrs. S. A. Carter. Music by Miss Mary Sundwall. Fifteen Fif-teen members and three visitors were present. Delicious refreshments refresh-ments were served. The Relief Society annual day will be celebrated Feb. 6th. There will be a meeting at the L. D. S. chapel at 10 o'clock in which a fine program well be rendered. Dinner will be served at the Pavilion, also a program pro-gram will be given there of music, songs and speechs. In the evening there will be a dance at which the ladies will purchase tickets. All married people of the ward are expected ex-pected to be out nd enjoy the day. The old people will be the special guests. |
