Mrs. Otto Whiibeck of Salt Laki City visited with Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Peacock the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Christianson and family of Spring City were guests at the home of Ole Nilson last Sundaj The Home Economics Association held a meeting Aug. 19 in which the following Program was given. Henry and Loren Terry, Eli A. Daj Jr., Pat, Jessie and Floyd young went to Salt Lake Tuesday as members of the Mt. Pleasant bad that will play for the Wizards Carnival there. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Norman and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Norman went to Salt Lake City this week in an auto They will also visit Ogden while away . The Primary had a holiday Thursday. Thurs-day. The ladies of the Relief j Society sewed for the poor. A very nice luncheon was served by he fourth ward teachers. The Ladies Literary club met Aug. Bth at the home of Mrs. Vern Sanderson. Twenty ladies enjoy-d enjoy-d the social hour and the delicious refreshments served. Quite a bit of excitement was .aused by a fire in the Zenith pic-ure pic-ure show Wednesday evening. While they were rewinding the films, n some way a short circut was formed form-ed which started the fire. Three of he films were burned and the operating room was slightly damaged.. damag-ed.. A hose from the drug store adjoining was quickly set to work .hich soon checked the fire. Wednesday evening a bundle hower was given at the home of Mrs. Uena Olsen in honor of Miss Ellen ''hereon, one of our fall brides, 'he rooms were decorated with -.weet peas and asters. The even-ng even-ng was spent in merry games and lusic. A number of handsome md useful presents were given besides be-sides timely advice. Twenty guests nioyed the evening's sport.
