Show II Fountain Green t l! : Lincoln Day Celebration On the I2th at the Lincoln Day celebration the people of Fountain Green were treated to a most excellent excel-lent feast of musical, intellectual and patritoic food that is seldom vouchsafe vouch-safe into ordinary mortals. Most everybody seemed to have the spirit of the occasion and as a consequence the Opera House was crowded as never before. The mantle of the "Man of Sorrow" Sor-row" seemed to have fallen on the orator of the day for the Hon. Dill-worth Dill-worth Wooley seemed to exude eloquence 'from every pore. The audience responded readily and a feeling of patriotism surged through the vast throng and all listened with rapt attention and pronounced a fervent fer-vent "Amen" and enthusiastically ap plauded the incomparable effort. Space will not permit a detailed account of the songs, speeches and and responses made by local talent, but we might add that all who took part did exceptionally well and as a whole the celebration was the best ever. Following the program was a picture show featuring the life and labors of Lincoln. The program of the district school followed with a three act drama entitled "A Man Without a Country" Considering who rendered the parts it is needless to say that it . was,, a success. All the good people here then exercised their heels until time to retire. The play referred to in the last issue is-sue is a moral play, with virtues and failings of every youth as characters Truth plainly shows his worthiness, temptation is exposed as an undesir ale and Reason, Love, Happiness, Work, etc, eventually prevail and all who may attend are assured that time and money will be well expend ed. The Parents Class of the Sunday School, true to its reported useful ness, is now making a new venture for social improvement and program Realizing that the community as a whole "has drifted about" the class is going to have a weekly entertain ment in the school house, where old friendships will be renewed and the people will also be instructed.
