Show j Fairview Miss Leona Nordstrom spent the past three weeks in Salt Lake City. Sam Rigby came home from the U. of U. to spend Lincoln's Birthday. Mrs. 0. K. Hansen and children of Provo are spending; a week with friends and relatives in Fairview. Mrs. Mabel Johnson of Idaho is the guest of her mother, Mrs. Maggie Mag-gie Sanderson. MissValora Allred went to Salt Lake City this week and will remain for some time. Mr. Swen O. Nielson left for Canada Cana-da this week where he goes to look after his business interests there. He will also visit with his daughters and his brother. Mr. and Mrs. James Andrew Lar-sen Lar-sen returned from Logan on Tues' day. Mr. Larsen has been attending the Agricultural College this winter learning the creamery trade. On Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Will Terry entertained a large number num-ber of friends. An excellent supper was served and the evening was spent in games and social chat. The Snow Academy will give a grand concert here next week in the L. D. S. Church after which the mutuals will give a grand ball to every body. Miss Nola Day entertained about thirty of her friends in honor of her thirteenth birthday. A pleasant evening was spent in games and music. Ice cream and cake were served. v On the eve of the 13th Miss Selma Christenson entertained about thirty of her little friends in honor of her birthday. The evening was spent in games and music. Refreshments were served. On Valentine a party wasginen at the home of Mrs. 0. P. Olson in honor hon-or of the birthday of her sister, Miss Annie Anderson. A very pleasant evening was spent by a number of her friends and relatives. Delicious refreshments were served. The public School celebrated Lincoln's Lin-coln's birthday with a big parade, twenty bob sleighs and twenty-two teams being used to haul the teachers teach-ers and pupils. They were decorated in the national colors and also displayed dis-played flags, banners and penants. They paraded the town singing songs and giving class yells. In the afternoon after-noon a children's dance was given, also a basket ball game. In the evening even-ing a dance was given in which everybody dressed like school children. child-ren. It has been called the event of the season by all who attended. Miss Fern Christensen and Sam D. Bills were given th e prizes. It was a financial as well as a social success. After paying about twenty-five dollars dol-lars on the school basket ball expenses, expen-ses, one half of the money will be used for our school library and one half in fixing up the teachers office. |
