All concerned are doing well. ; j Hugh Brady had his right hand ' badly cut in the plaining mill this week. It was reported that he would lose three fingers, but he will not lose any, though they were quite badly cut, and very painful for some time. Hjalmer Landgreen returned home this week from Salt Lake City where he has been working the past winter Lorenzo Peterson came home from Winter Quarters this week to celebrate cele-brate St. Patrick's Day with his family and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Jpe Vance of Idaho are visiting with friends and relatives relativ-es at Fairview. Mr. Vance left Fairview more than thirty years ago and the place seems rather changed to what it waB when he left. He is a brother to George, Willard and Hyrum Vance, Sen. The Sunday School will give a dancing party Friday evening March the 20th. A children's dance will also be given in the afternoon. Everybody is expected to come out andhelp the good cauBe along. Refreshments Re-freshments will be sold. The Primary Association is preparing pre-paring a concert and opperatta which will be given in the near future. fu-ture. ' At the celebration of the Relief Society Anniversary held at Fairview March 17th the following program was given: Speech of Welcome by Mrs. L. E. Brady Vocal Duet by Mrs. Birdella Lar-sen Lar-sen and Maud Olsen Speech on the Life of Emma Hale Smith by Fred Rigby Violin music by Willard Mower The life of Eliza R. Snow by Mrs. Millie Anderson Piano Solo "O My Father' with variations by Helen Christensen The life of Mother Pritchett was given by her grandaughter, Ora Bell Hansen Quartette by Sylvia Miner and Co. Reading "The Women of Utah" by Mrs. John L. Bench. Benedition by Bishop H. P. Hansen. Han-sen. An old fashioned dance was given in the evening which was a great success. Refreshments were served lo all. The concert given by Prof. Hand and his singers was much appreciat-ied appreciat-ied by music lovers in Fairview. 'j The Conference held at Spring I City last Sunday was attended by some over 100 people from Fairview The discourse given by Pres. Anthon H. Lund in the afternoon was very impressive, especially the remarks on Religion Class Work. Mr. and Mrs. Jordan Brady, Sen. Mrs. T. A. Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bushman have been Salt Lake visitors the past week where they went to attend the funeral of their brother, Marion H. Brady of Union. James Rigby and family have moved in town. Their son, Fred and his young bride are taking the farm this year. Orson Rawlins is a Fairview visitor vis-itor this week. Mrs. Chas. Peacock is a visitor of her home town, Sterling. Elder Howard Rigby has been released re-leased from his missionary labors, ' will be home with family and friends' in- about two weeks. A successful operation waB performed per-formed by Drs. Edmunds, Reese and Reece for Mrs. Francis Mower. A growth from the right shoulder was removed. She is doing very nice- o |
