Show SPLENDID SHOWS OK THE STATE FAIR Never ill the history of the State Fairs in Utah has the amusement committee of the Fair Association arranged for so elaborate an array of free shows and spectacles, tobether with the amusement attractions to which admission will be charged, as for the coming fair that opens Saturday, Sat-urday, October 12th, continuing for eight full days and nights. Theatrical managers in Salt Lake City who have looked over the list of attractions secured by the management manage-ment of the State Fair declare that the various outdoor Bhows and amusement enterprises now under contract to appear include many of the famous acts that have played Western theatrical circuits, while in addition to this array of talent comes the further news this week that one of the greatest carnival companies ever assembled for a tour of Western iTairB has been contracted for the nldway. There are twenty two railroad rail-road coaches required to move the :ompany and its show wagons from me city to another and there is not i strip of canvas used in the entire organization. All of the shows will be housed on the midway and there are between 25 and 30 different shows comprising the carnival company's com-pany's organization. Irwin Brothers real Cheyanne Frontier Days' Wild West Show will furnish the star outdoor amusement atraction of the Fair this season. This ,v ill be seen both afternoon and evening even-ing rain or shine. This is the largest larg-est aggregation of cow-boy talent ever ev-er represented In the Iatermountain West and the program Includes every form of popular contests from the most thrilling bucking horse feats to I mule and burrow races. In case of i rain the Irwin Brother's show will be iven in the new live-stock colos- I seum. One of the most famous equestrian troups In the world are the Riding Duttons. They were lately late-ly featured on the great Barnum and Bally ClrcuB and they are included on the State Fair Program this year. Another attraction Is Captain West's original Sea Lions, giving one of the most wonderful trained animal exhibitions ex-hibitions in the country. Patterson's trained elephants, three huge quad-rupd quad-rupd performerB have also been contracted con-tracted for. Admission this year to j Fair will be 26c for adults and 10c ' for children. |
