Show Eskimos Use Parcels Post. Port Townsend, Wash. Eskimos in the Arctic circle are using the parcel par-cel post to transport their furs to the United States, according to advices ad-vices received here from Capt. H. G. Ballinger of the revenue cutter Bear, which has just returned to Nome from its annual cruise to Point Barrow, the northernmost point of Alaska. Several Sev-eral natives north of Bering strait have sent white fox skins by parcel post to Seattle and San Francisco, receiving better prices than they could from the traders in the north. |
