Show I Fairview j Born to the wife of Reuben Tuc ker, Jan. 22, a girl. Heber Mower who has spent the past year in Idaho, returned last week. S. W. Nielson and wife came from Canada last week with the remains of their little daughter, Rachael, who was brought here for burial. She died of rheumatism of the heart The funeral services were held las'. Saturday in the L. D. S. Chapel. The speakers were Brothers C. W. An derson of Mt. Pleasant. Peter Sund wall and C. P. Olsen. The Literary Club will give a charity char-ity ball on Saturday evening, Jan 31. The proceeds of which will be used to defray the hospital expences of Marion Brady's child at the L D. S. Hospital. The Literary Club met at the home of Mrs. H. W. Sanderson, Jr. Jan. 28th. The following program was rendered: A paper on the"Rel-alion the"Rel-alion of Parent and Child" was given giv-en by Mrs. A. U. Miner, song by Mrs. Edmunds, Parliamentary drill by Mrs. John R. Graham and a read ingon politeness by Mrs. J. W. Christiansen. After the program a very pleasant social hour was spent. Dainty refreshments were served. Nelson Mower who was operated upon at the L. D. S. Hospital for cancer of the stomach, died Jan. 24. Funeral services were held here the 27th. The speakers were Bishop Wm Stewart of Milburn, Swen 0. Nielson, Niel-son, Dr. Edmunds, Peter Carlston, and Bishop Hans P. Hansen. All of whom spoke well of the deceased and family. A wife and four children, child-ren, three sons and one daughter, survive him. vThose from far awav olaces attending tne funeral were Orson Mower and wife from Spring-ville, Spring-ville, his sister Mis. Cynthia Ed wards of Sunnyside. The large attendance at-tendance at the funeral showed the esteem in which the deceased was held. |
