Show About six of Miss Thurman's friends surprised her on her birth day Monday Jan. 26th and all spent a delightful evening. A really big event is going to take ; place now. Let us break it to you j gently. The faculty ojf the Nort.'i Sanpete High is going to put on a play. This will take place in the near future, probably the first or second week in February. The play is "All of a Sudden Peggy," a clever little comedy fairly sparkling with wit and humor. There are not enough faculty members to go around so we have enlisted the services ser-vices of Leonard Seely, Mr. C. P. Olson, Mrs. Wangsgaard and two or threeof the student?;. Miss Froiseth is to be Peggy the leading lady and Mr. Seelyj Jimmy Kepple the leading man-. Mr. Jensen Jen-sen who won such applause in "What Happened to Jones" will appear again in the role of Antony Craken thorpe, a learned old biologist whose hobby is spiders. Miss Thurman plays Lady Crakenthorpe the aristocratic aristo-cratic mother of the biologist. Mrs. Wangsgaard, h'u young and attractive attract-ive sister. Mrs. O'Mara, a most plebin Irish woman mother of Peggy Peg-gy will Le handled by' Miss Ryan. Mr. Olson will appear in the role as Sir Archie Phipp3, an English lord. Don't miss the opportunity of your life but come and see the play. Mr. Jensen was suddenly called to Bingham Tuesday on account of the death of his brother-in-law. A number of luncheons have been served by the Domestic Science de partment under Miss Froifeth's d r ection on Tuesday and Thursday, the last were served and were well attended. Future luncheons will be will be given; the next to be on Tuesday Tues-day and Thursday of next week. The usual price of Twenty cents will be charged. Last Friday night N. S. and Wasatch Was-atch played basket ball at the Opera House. It was a good practice for both teams. Get ready for a big time as a High School "hop" is on schedule at the Armory Feb. 13, 1914. Tonight (Friday) we play basket ball with Richfield at the Armory. It is txpected to be a good interest iiiggameso come everybody and yell for North Sanpete. The second semester of- the school year started Monday Jan. 26. Most of our students seem to be satisfied with the record made up to date. Of course there are a few who have not done their best but it is expect ed that all are going to improve anu make satisfactory marks IVr therr. selves, when the school year ends. Remember self effort educates and is the key to sucess. Lyman Seely the new Agronomy "Prof" is succeeding nobly as fai as he is concerned. |
