For several years the citizens planned and worked to secure a local lo-cal high school, and eventually, in accordance with a recently enacted state law providing for the creation of high school districts, secured the establishment of the school at Mo--; roni. The school naturally and con veniently serves the people ot Moroni Mo-roni and adjacent towns. The prooi of its need and proper location is disclosed dis-closed in the record enrollment of tht institution. The school began greatlj handicapped for quarters and equipment, equip-ment, and is now only in its second year of operation. Notwithstanding its youth and early lack of facilities, the enrollment has now reached 10J or more. It is stated by competent authority that the showing made thus far is unsurpassed in fact unequalled in the history of the state. After two more years of operation, authorities of the school expect an enrollment of tnO. In the giving of practical training the school is making rapid and effective effec-tive progress. The Domestic Science and Domestic Arts departments now have thoroughly adequate and up-to-.late equipment. More than forty young lady students are now receiving receiv-ing the training offered in these departments, de-partments, and thus equipping themselves them-selves for future usefulness in the home. The instruction given and the .vork done in the department of music !s also of a noticeably high order, as well as the regular academic work. A general spirit of earnestness and enthusiasm is plainly observable among the students, and an active titudent body organization is maintained. main-tained. A great deal of credit for the sue ess of the school is undoubtedly dut he faculty. Members of the faculty are graduates-jf graduates-jf the University of Utah and Utah Agricultural college and hold their baccalaureate degrees, so the schoo' ;ias been well provided with compe :ent instructors. Beal of Epii raim were visiting at the home of Mr. 0. F. Beal last Friday. Centerfield basket ball team came Friday for a game with the N. H. S. boys.
