Herrick of Salt Lake City is a geist at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. George Tucker. Jesse Young who taught school at Sigurd tho past year, returned home this week. Merlin Madsen who spent the past winter teaching school In Idaho, returned re-turned home last week. Mrs. Rreckoiiridge of Ppringville came to Fairview to spend Iec oration ora-tion Day and is visiting friends and relatives. Niels Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hansen of rieasant Grov? spent Memorial Day at Fairview and are visiting friends. On Sunday. .iy 2S. the choir gave the program at the L. D. S. meeting. E. H. Anderson and C. P. Olsen were the speakers. The choir rendered the hymns and a beautiful anthem. Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Feterson anil son. Lclar.d. went to Lucern Valley last week, they will visit relatives and friends and may remain all summer i: suited with the place. Miss Rowena Day and Miss Nola Day went to Frovo Wednesday, they will attend the commencement exercises exer-cises at the R. Y. V. mS spend th? week visiting relatives and friends. Henry Terry started for New Y'ork Wednesday, May 31. where he goes to study music. Mr. Terry has been our choir leader the past year, he also organized and taught the school band. Miss Elizabeth Nelson and. Nephi Olsen were married May 16. A party was given in their honor at Oak Creek May 26. A wedding supper was given at the bride's norrte and a dance was later given at the Oak Creek school house. Sunday evening an excellent concert con-cert was given in the L. D. S. Chapel by the Fairview choir. A piano duet v.a3 given by Misses Rowena Day and Dott Christenson. A cornet solo by Loren Terry. A clarinet solo by Jesse Young and a number of anthems an-thems by the choir. Those who missed this concert certainly missed a musical treat. Gaston Garlic of Fairview and Miss Era Farnwoth of Mt. Pleasant weie married in the Manti Temple May 31. A wedding supper was given in their honor at the home of Wm. Garlic, Sr., the evening was spent in games and music and social chat. A number num-ber of beautiful and useful presents were given. About thirty-flve guests were present, mostly near relatives. Those from other places who attended attend-ed the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. James Reynolds. George Relnolds. Mrs. Martha Reynolds. Mr. and Mrs. Coatcs and Miss Opal Larsen of Mt. Pleasant and Thorpe Isaacson of Kphraini. Funeral services for Voa Anderson, twin daughter of Achio R. Anderson, were held in the L. V. S. Chapel May 27. John L. r.ench, D. Edmunds and II. S. Olsen were the speakers who offered words of comfort and consolation to the bereaved. Twelve small girls carried flowers behind the hearse. The funeral was well attended. The ward choir furnished 'music and Miss Rowena Day and Miss Mamie Madsen sang, "Shall we Meet I'.eyond the River." Those from out of town who attended the tuneral were Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Reese. Mr. and Mrs. Will Davis of Wales; Mrs. Amanda Sabey and Arthur Arth-ur Saboy of Lehi; Dr. John R. Anderson Ander-son or F.phraim. Mr. and Mrs.' Anderson An-derson have the sympathy of the community com-munity in their sad bereavement. |
